Firstly, why do you fixate on being loved by another human being as a measure of wellness? Who cares if someone else loves you or not, even in a marriage? If you base marriage around love, it will fail. Because marriage has some really low points and some really hard days and if you don't have some greater reason than how you feel, then the marriage will collapse. Love cannot hold a marriage together and shouldn't be used to measure its health.
I don't think it really matters if Marshall loves me or not (the feeling type love). What matters is if he is kind and respectful. Actions speak louder than words. Lots of people say they "love" others and then how do they treat them? What's more important is that people act on duty, not how they feel (love). If A, B, and C are a husband's duty, does he do it? or not? How he feels is irrelevant.

Also, it's actually still possible to love someone (feeling love) and also avoid intimacy with them. People have different degrees of emotional intimacy that they can handle. It has a lot to do with how they were raised, cultural background, age and personal internal well being. There are different "attachment styles". Marshall and I have different attachment styles and that is a source of conflict in our marriage at times. But marriages have their weaknesses.
