If you watched the Chauvin case and its aftermath you'll notice that it was heavily women and when interviewed post conviction every single one stated they were swayed by emotional pleas rather than technical data and the law. Assume the 60% women are going to vote for conviction and the 40% of men are your randomized chance.
We all know that women are swayed more by emotional appeals, but a fairer jury selection could still have resulted in the occasional woman who isn't so easily swayed to vote NG

I guess the outcome ultimately depends on how jury views supposed victims and Rittenhouse himself.
If they see rioting scum for what they are, they should be able to easily picture them as violent tards who destroyed their town last year. I doubt they're fans of that, and will see people Kyle shot as inherently violent.
There was nothing damning on Kyle, just some slightly inconvenient details that just show him as a regular teenager. Overall he's a good boy, especially in comparison to rioters.

I just wish they found a way to bring up Rosenbaum's criminal record, that alone could win the whole case. I hope jury found out before they were selected or someone whispered it in their ear, or they stumbled upon it randomly on the internet.

If you would like a good source of laughs about the Rittenhouse trial, I would recommend one "Dr. Jack Brown"

This man appears to be positively mentally ill. In addition to giving off the vibe of a shady mental health / alternative medicine guru he is also a brain-sick deranged lefty.

His whole Twitter feed for days has consisted of absolutely bizarre interpretations of the body language of Rittenhouse, his lawyers, and Judge Schroeder.
I don’t think he’s mentally deranged, just so far down a specific psych theory rabbit hole that he’s indistinguishable from crazy.

The concern is that the prosecution is now going to craft a closing that is 2.5 hours of PROVOCATION PROVOCATION PROVOCATION, mimicking the narrative that has been playing on CNN and MSNBC for months. Kyle testifying gave them a foot in the door to get that into the jury instruction through rebuttal, because Kyle claimed that he didn't point his firearm at anyone earlier in the evening. It's a perfect example of how even an innocuous detail can work against a defendant if they testify. Every question just creates more opportunity for a scummy prosecutor to grab something out of context or poorly worded and run with it.

I think Kyle still has a strong case, but when the prosecution rested they had practically nothing. Now they have a narrative to work with, and it could be enough to convince a jury if they were already predisposed against Kyle thanks to the media and the political environment.
I wouldn't worry about it too much if Binger or Tubby hammer provocation and they "prove" it via Kyle's personal testimony, the jury will be unable to remember due to losing interest or making them activity hostile to Binger or Tubby again because they'll remember how insulting his line of questions and rebuttals were and assume he's talking shit.

Chauvin had his knee on a guy's neck for a while, that's going to look pretty convincing to people as the reason Floyd died. With more context there's reason to say Chauvin didn't murder the guy, but that image is going to stick out in people's minds.

Kyle on the other hand has images of him on his back as a guy comes at him with a gun in hand and we've got the guys recorded having acting threateningly towards Kyle much of the time. The prosecution's argument hinges on the idea that Kyle must have known being present would cause people to assault him. That's a fairly weird argument to make and I'm not sure that'd work on the jury.
We all know Chauvin was a race mixer who kinda kinda had it coming, but the parallels I can't deny anymore. A Judge held as "based" turned enemy of the State of Kiwi, Prosecutors actively breaking laws while the Judge slaps them on the wrists, and politicians actively trying to influence a jury with a fear of bodily harm.

Remind yourself of this guys: it makes no difference whatever (to the outcome) what we think or what we want or what we feel--anymore than it would to a football game we were watching on TV. Given that there's obviously no point obsessing about it over the weekend. Shut off the computer, go get drunk, get laid, get stoned, whatever, and don't stress about it. Go live your life and have a great weekend.

See ya on Monday!

Kyle having a PTSD episode on the stand certainly got the feels in addition to the reals.

Bingo and Fatso, meanwhile, have used up most, if not all, of their supply of good will with the jury. Not a single witness ended up as a net positive for the pros, and the judge's disdain for them is obvious.

Yeah, Imma need to touch grass. This has been an exhausting two weeks.

If there's anything gun fags seething all over the internet about miss-naming and miss-representation has taught me is that if someone describes anything as "Assault Rifle" that person is not arguing in good faith and their opinion should be disregarded entirely, and so far it has worked like a charm

This is one of those idiots who 100% believe that Kyle shot a bunch of black dudes lol
Keep in mind that I got this from a currently trending Reddit thread that's filled with people pointing out how wrong all of the statements are. Even Redditors aren't buying what's being pushed.

Football games don't set legal precedents.

I agree you shouldn't seethe until you stroke out, but pretending this is like sports is a cope. There are valid reasons to be worried of a bad conviction here.
