I've seen sane trans people getting called twansphobic twuscum for saying that before you commit to transition, it's worth thinking seriously about what this will do to your dating pool- ie, 95% of people will reject you outright for your trans status even before getting to you as an individual, you will be unable to hook up "easily" in most venues, the people who do want to date you might be just trying to fulfil a fetish or prove how open-minded they are, and even platonic friends might suddenly not want to stick by you, because it's hard having a trans friend (especially in the early stages with the surgery and mood swings) so that if you aren't ready to basically drop out of society and lose everything, transition isn't worth it.

But of course, transition is all unicorn farts and mermaid jizz, you will become 100 times hotter and nobody will be scared off by massive scarring and having to constantly be on-guard in public.

Basically, they're setting each other up for horrible disappointment. When the people who transitioned talked as if they were taking monastic vows or becoming anchorites beforehand, they tended to have much happier lives after because they hadn't been sold a bill of goods. Basically, pleasantly surprised pessimists are happier than disappointed optimists.

I agree with you. When it comes to troon enablers, there is a clear discrepancy between what they claim to believe and how they operate on those beliefs. They will happily type shit like “transwomen are women” on Twitter while ignoring/blocking them on dating apps. Even some troons realize this hypocrisy from their “allies”. When these “allies” echo troon tomfoolery, troons then believe they are entitled to shame “bigots” into treating them as if they’re indistinguishable from bio women/men and dating/fucking them. In order to return to sanity and get those lost lesbian and gay spaces back, you have to hit these troons with a dose of reality - “No, there is no suck thing as a girldick and a mutilated penis is not a vagina, you are an adult male in a dress so get the fuck off this lesbian dating app”. The more people enable this shit, the longer we have to endure this clown world. Of course, future consequences will worsen too. The DWP have always been notorious for 'losing' paperwork or claiming it arrived past the specified date. It costs about £7 for next day signed delivery for arrival before 1pm, so even if he'd left it until the last minute to send it off, it could still have got there on time even without an extension - ideally you get the form back to them a good week before your deadline just in case there's any postal delays or it gets lost in a decision maker's in-tray.
To my knowledge he's never worked so I'm gonna guess he just assumed he'd keep getting his gibs because he's had them for so long. That's not how the DWP's ever worked, and most definitely doesn't under the Tories. Given PIP decisions often affect ESA claims, it'll be glorious karma if they decide to stop his ESA as well - at the very least he'll lose the Severe Disability Premium from his ESA if he was previously getting one of the enhanced PIP components. This does, however, back up something I said before about him having no external support or advocacy because they would have made sure the form was back on time, or be helping him to navigate the appeal system. Obviously Ian's not helping him with this either (there seems to be some trouble in paradise going by his recent tweets) and if he is, neither of them bothered to actually read up on how the system works. It's a situation of his own creation and he has zero evidence to prove when he sent it to them.

Get your bets in, Farmers. Did he:

1. Misunderstand that the later deadline was for online forms and postal forms have to be in earlier.
2. Not pay attention when being told the deadline because it has nothing to do with validating his transness.
3. Get felted by based DWP man who told him the wrong date on purpose because fuck this parasite.
4. Make this entire event up for attention/grifting purposes.

I'm giving equal odds on every option tbh
