The griefing in games specifically Eve and Second Life was funny, but the goons themselves were awful spergs.

Any other internet community would have been different. SA was just the right mix of autism, misanthropy and vidya to draw a crowd at the time. The forums and goons have always been super cliquey and gay, but what do you expect from a place populated by societal rejects. I don't think anywhere else had that many maladapted teens as SA.

Other forums (barring 4chan of course) just didn't move as fast as GBS at its peak. You'd have like 10k+ concurrent users. It was kind of like proto social media

Same. Some internet "things" I somehow missed entirely, like everyone related to TGWTG (thank God) and Homestuck (again, thank God). The SA forum was another one of those things. Lurked it a little bit years after it developed, thought it was filled with weirdos and losers, and laughed at the idea of paying money to digitally hang out with sociopaths.

Right off the bat from watching his last video he had severe damage to his nervous system from alcohol and drug abuse. Twitchy movement, stuttering and impaired motor function, reminds you of punch drunk Parkinson’s early onset symptoms.
I can’t really criticize him in a lolcow way because I don’t really know what he’s like, but I know enough about pills and booze to know that it’s driving force behind his suicide, you can’t outsmart your way out of the intoxicating effects of alcohol and pills. For all of his lives, the guy really had nerve damage, though it was probably not the case before he started the pills. It was a self-fulfilling prophecy. On an old stream Lowtax leaves his oldest daughter at the computer to take a shit, and she ends up waking him up like half an hour later. This certainly didn't happen once, and he lived alone for many years before trapping Ashli. Have you ever stayed on the toilet so long that you didn't notice the circulation got cut in your legs? Now pass out for hours ? and the lack of blood flow causes permanent nerve damage to your legs. Now pass out in your computer chair. Pass out sitting up on the couch. Always in unnatural positions that wouldn't happen if you just fell asleep sober. I've said it before but it bears repeating. This is very common in junkies.

As far as degenerative disc disease that he would claim, "disease" is kind of a misnomer because literally everyone has this. Over time the discs in your spine compress and lose volume from supporting the weight of your body, and they act as a cushion between vertebrae, so this causes some pain. WHEN you start feeling pain from this depends on you and your lifestyle, but literally everyone "has" it.

The fact that Lowtax couldn't name anything specifically wrong with his spine other than this is a huge tell that there was really nothing wrong with him. We all knew he was full of shit already but there it is

I sperged about this earlier, but in life Lowtax wasn't funny he was novel. I mean, do you still read JeffK or Cliff and laugh? No, but they were hilarious back then because they were new, stuff you hadn't read before. Most of that Y2K humor is like that, it was side-splitting at the time because no one was doing that, no one was saying it, no one had said that before.
But once its no longer novel, once you are no longer in that moment, once you have read all this shit, once everyone's posting PAK CHOOIE UNF, the 'humor' is gone.

Lowtax never learned how to be actually funny, or how to stay novel.

I have a hard time believing that is Ashli and not either a troll or the troon just trying to get more attention. Helps perpetuate the idea Lowtax was into troons too, so the motivations for trolls or troons doing this is huge. It also makes Ashli look bad and no doubt the Lowtax fan club is hungry to tar and feather her.
