Inactive Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka - Deadbeat (emphasis on "Dead") founder of Something Awful, forced out of his own community, on his second divorce, stuck his dick in crazy, "Birth Giver"

I wonder if someone with more insight might enlighten me. Why did he kill himself? He got reamed in court, but so what? I figured his mommy would pay for whatever comes his way like she always does. I find it dubious he would kill himself out of shame, either. I mean, this dude actually got his mom(or grandma) to call the police to bash his ex to them after one of his domestics. So why? His life wasn't changing in any real way. Help me understand.

Forgot I had this. Rich during his Eraserhead phase:

So

Somewhere we have a old post from him admiring he was lazy and wouldn't take care of himself and wondering if medical tech would be able to give him a easy fix

Null said it good on his stream.

His health was gone

His wealth was gone

His youth was gone.

So he punched his own clock

Not true. Around December 2019 he explicitly stated that he would rather have a forum full of looney troons than... normal people, I guess? Anyway, that was what finally got me to log out of the forums for good (I've gone back two or three times since to look around for a few minutes, and I'm glad I left).
TBF when he said that he was spanking it to pictures of Tranny assholes. SO I'm not sure his work can be trusted to be unbiased.

It had to do with him not giving a fuck about critical reception or audience feedback, his method of movie production explicitly ignored box office returns and impressions from critics. He'd receive funding for his production company from the rich so he wasn't 'beholden' to the usual tyranny of the critic and the viewer that a lot of other producer/directors are under pressure from. This creates all sorts of resentment of differing kinds from everyone fucking nerds.

My friend really liked Postal 1 & 2 (kinda) so when he saw the film he was nonplussed and confused. I still can't figure out why, its Postal for fucks sake.
It is not a postal movie at all. It was really dumb. However the first 5 minutes of the film justify its existence.

It's the reason I moved from SA to KF, because SA had changed from a place where you could laugh at idiots, to a place where you couldn't laugh at idiots in case it upset their feelings, to a place where the idiots had moved in and taken over. Early SA made fun of Tumblr Otherkin and Multiples, 20 years later the same Tumblr teenagers who made those posts are the moderation team at SA, and they haven't moved on one bit.

KF reminds me of the glory days of SA in some ways - you can call out weirdos and morons, and you are expected to try to do it in a funny way rather than just get mad. Of course it's very different in many other ways, some good, some not. But I'll take for all its flaws, one of the last bastions of pointing out that the Emperor has no clothes.
the trend/meme of keeping moderator egos in check is one of the healthiest things that have been cultivated on the iNTERNET in recent years

Isn't it kind of weird to think that Lowtax now knows the answer to one of life's biggest mysteries and we don't?
Perhaps, but in contrast we know not to let trannies take over your shit or they ruin everything you have & drive you to kill yourself in a roundabout way. So who really has the more valuable knowledge?

Totally off topic, but does anyone have a pic of Momtax? I don't think I've ever actually seen her, but she gives off absolutely massive Lucille Bluth vibes every time I hear about something she's done or said and I'm curious if she looks the part, too.

Seeing recent pictures of Lowtax, it's hard to believe he was only 45. I assumed he was older just because SA has been around for so long. Also, doing opiates and the stress of trying to find out how to get away with using money meant for child support on opiates without getting in trouble ages a dude pretty hard.
Spending 99% of his time indoors, hunched over a computer screen, mad and bitter about the last 20 years, and subsisting on a diet of empty carbs, tranny cum, alcohol and misused prescription medication basically turned him into a troglodyte doing an Eraserhead cosplay. I'm actually shocked he looked as good as he did, all things considered.

But that's also what made him interesting, he was essentially the last man who ever made genre B movies that thought he was making something awesome in that Ed Wood sense.
I believe the early films were probably a form of tax fraud. Uwe Boll was perfectly capable of making passable (Postal, Assault on Wallstreet, etc), even good (Rampage) B movies, but he willingly chose not to so he could exploit German art subsidies and tax breaks, so his films never made the estimated return. I don't think it's a coincidence that all of his "good" films are made after and only after the tax loophole was closed.

Its also that he licensed vidya game properties aka stuff nerds (the worst type of fandoms) would fixate on and then shit on them.

You can make Generic zombie movie (not house of the dead) you can make what ever the fuck alone in the dark was and not tie it to anything.
