His semantics on this are conveniently greasy. It's been a while since he has had to dance with the Paypal issue, it's good to see him on top form. Here are the rants:
First he loses his mind over anyone saying that PayPal is a security risk. Obviously he is still very sensitive about this.
Then he says that it's not a security risk, he can't see any information, and the only risk is if you're stupid with your info.
Then he says that you shouldn't use the same email for your Paypal as your personal email because it is for financial transactions and unwise to do so.
This final point implies the truth (which we already know), that Phil does have access to people's info, in particular their email addresses, and that he has used this in the past before to find people so it is unsafe, something he admitted to when he threatened to dox people on video.
Then he drops all this and says that he feels the real reason people superchat is convenience, and he's glad they had this talk.
All while he refuses to address the real reason because it is inconvenient - Phil has access to your info and it is most definitely not safe.
EDIT: I forgot, he also glosses over the fact that someone mentioned it means their message is visible if they superchat. He says "There's still a popup!"
That's swerving the point. Tip messages are not visible and Phil doesn't want to turn them back on, likely because it has become a way for the whales to communicate with him out of view of chat.
He doesn't address the point because he doesn't want anyone to even consider that tip messages could be made visible again.
