The Rittenhouse trial isn't high profile enough?

Such decisions are firmly within the judge's discretion. Jury selection seems like it was fairly uneventful - they seated a jury in one day, which I didn't expect. Selection in the Arbery trial took two weeks, by way of comparison. He probably figured the trial wasn't likely to become a media circus like some other cases, so no need to sequester the jury. Plus, Kenosha isn't that big - if you put all the jurors up in a hotel for two weeks, the location is going to leak and you're going to have people harassing them.

You really think people are going to be brave enough to riot if they get this kid off? I have no clue.
More people rioting over his potential aquittal sounds like a great opportunity to waste some more pedos, wife beaters and radical leftists. So far conservatives are winning this round.

Reminder that no matter the verdict, Rosenbaum was always a manlet, and therefore deserved nothing but scorn and mockery for his mere existence
Reminder that the only people who found Rosenbaum attractive enough to tolerate were desperate single mothers, homeless drug addicts and a forum of necrophiles.

I've been to right wing winter protests up north and they don't seem slowed that much. But we don't riot, so that's a bit different
Right wingers are more willing to endure the weather for what they believe is right than Left-wingers are. It's been said that democrats are less likely to go out and vote if it's raining that day.

Also rioting is more strenuous.

Even if the national guard wasn't there, it's not great rioting weather to begin with.

There's a reason you see most large-scale public chimpouts in the summer. Just look at any protest between November and February: it's usually just a small clump of people shivering as they hold up signs and chant, and the most important person in the crowd isn't the one calling the slogans, it's the guy who filled the trunk of his car with thermos full of coffee or cocoa.
It's been many years since I wintered in a snowy clime but now that you mention it yeah--I can't imagine protesting/rioting in freezing conditions would be very much fun and we all know the vast majority of these antifa types are just larpers out for a few laughs.

That's not quite fair. It seemed they were holding their breath for Kyle's entire testimony
That makes sense, good on them. I tried watching them the first day I was watching, and I couldn't hear the trial over them, so I just went back to watching the raw feed.
