Divorce agreements often (not always) require the payor to have life insurance to cover the obligation even if they die. But he killed himself, so insurance won't pay out even if that was in there.

That's a slight misconception. You have to look at insurance policy details. I sadly know that at least a decade ago Life Insurance Policies by HSBC would pay out in the event of suicide if the person's policy had been active for a year or so.

But something tells me Lowtax was the type of D-Bag who wouldn't have bought life insurance despite having 3 descendants who would have depended on it. And if he did I doubt he'd look at such details.. Lowtax until the Bogdan Lay fiasco thought he was financially set thanks to Goon sheckles.

We have gone over the incident where Ashli was arrested, but it was way back in 2019 and early 2020 when he first started posting his mistakes prolifically on FB saying she was the one with a legal record of domestic violence and not him. I got the idea the rehab stint might have even been before he married Ashli, but it wasn’t anything recent. It’s prob why he jumped onto the “back problem” narrative because then he NEEDED copious amounts of drugs, not because he was an addict but because pain!! It’s a pretty common thing, seeking out a legitimate reason to be a pill popper - doctors orders! It’s just crazy he would have had rehab stints and then when the “back pain” drug seeking started everyone went along with it as legitimate.

Lowtax mentioned a therapist too, but I guess that therapist wasn’t allowed to confront the issue. He was “chronic pain suffering don’t you dare question my pain” let’s talk about other things except the actual problem patient. Whatever fucked up shit was in Lowtax’s brain was never going to get solved until he sobered up.

I’m going to guess his trip to China was after his rehab attempt. Traveling or getting away for a “fresh start” after a rehab stay or getting clean is a thing to try to prevent ppl coming home and falling right back into bad habits.

In most cases, as soon as you have death certificate you can tell the life insurance company "Check plz" and you'll have your check in hand quickly, bypassing probate.

If Coroner rules death a suicide there is a guaranteed fraud investigation which can take some time, I believe a year or more if I remember right. What happens there, as @Cardenio points out, comes down to the company's policy - both written and unofficial. Some will only cover certain forms of suicide, or require for police investigations to continue. The delay in the check arriving is discourage suicide for financial hardships and they seem to believe it does the job.

The company I learned about all this about had an official policy of not paying out for suicide, but in actuality would pay out up to a certain dollar/percentage amount once the case had been investigated and foul play ruled out. Apparently there had been some issue with a murder being disguised as a suicide, and was hyper vigilante about it.

Yeah and in some of his last messages to his paypigs he's complaining about not being able to get a job, and in the recent past saying that goons were tattling on him to every place he applied.
