If you believe Barnes, the defense did a study of the jury pool and found that 1/3 of the jury pool won't budge no matter what evidence was presented. Rhittenhouse may still get lucky, I think it's also possible for the judge to overturn a hung jury and give his own verdict.
I think Barnes is just stating the obvious and this was before the narrative began to slowly change. Honestly looking at the case I'm going to be honest I'm looking at a full aquittal. I mean video evidence is powerful and what the jury like us saw on video was self defense.

WHEN DO WE GET THE VERDICT, OR EVEN AT LEAST DELIBERATION
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The jury will likely dismiss for the day after closing arguments and begin deliberation tomorrow morning and the verdict comes whenever they come to a vote.

Curious.

maybe cops should be disarmed in case the criminals didnt have a gun.. maybe if called to a situation with a knife wielding psycho, the cop should lock his gun in the cop car and get out his cop issue butterfly knife?
You say that sarcastically, but that's a pretty common argument. Can't tell you how many times I've seen "he only had a knife why you shoot him". And then if they have a gun it's "why you shoot him so many times". All they really want is criminals to have no consequences.

Listening to the Rekieta stream I'm not really sure I agree with them on Kyle taking the stand. I don't think you can really say whether or not that was a good move until after the jury gets out and start making book deals. Like it or not, the US is a feels over facts country.

Edit:
They're absolutely right about doing whatever it took to get the prior convictions admitted. That would pretty much end the case because at that point at least one jury member would have been like "lol I don't care if it was self-defense or not now."

Place ya bets autists and autistettes, how bad will the defense mess up? Or will it be a slam dunk?
Richards is presenting. My prediction: He's going to stick to whatever script he's written, which, while scrupulous and detail-intensive, will be somewhat dry, and utterly fail to adapt or incorporate counterpoints targeting key points made by Binger's closing. In the end, his closing will end up feeling mostly competent, but underwhelming, and far from the slam dunk they should be aiming for.

No I think he will hit on all of the points that Binger made even the false ones. Binger's script was entirely predictable but holy shit I didn't expect him to blatantly lie like this.

It always amazes me how few people realize just how deadly a knife is at close range. For example in the .76 seconds it took Kyle to shoot pedobum, he could have been potentially stabbed nearly a dozen times. Watch some police training videos where they do knife/shiv demonstrations, it's amazingly eye opening.

It'll be sleepy as fuck if Richards really does give it, and the prosecution will object all the time, just as the defense should've done countless times by now.
