Got to love the way he just throws in Ray Blanchard alongside the fucking Turner Diaries. To the best of my knowledge Blanchard is not a TERF (let alone a white supremacist) and actually thinks that transitioning is in the best interest of most of the Trans people he studied, and as such supports it, even to the point that he thinks it should be publicly funded. The problem of course is that his examination and conclusions about who becomes trans and why is too jarring for the absurdly angelic self image a lot of trans activists have, he divided most patients he encountered into two groups, Homosexual transsexuals, who are pretty much as close to 'True' transwomen as you can get, people who from a very early age associate with and act along extremely feminine lines, are usually only interested in men and go to pretty extreme lengths to change their body to conform to that of a woman's, including bottom surgery. The other, of course, are autogynophiles, who are sexually aroused by the idea of being a woman and essentially gain it as a fetish later on in life with next to no indication that they had some great yearning from an early age about truly being a woman.

Unsurprisingly Autogynophilia as a concept is absolutely hated by most troons who curiously frequently seem to almost perfectly line up with the typology that Blanchard describes, note the many, many examples of older creeps who are completely cumbrained and try to leverage their transness that they fell into in a very short amount of time to present themselves in an absurdly sexualized manner with said sex obsessions eating up most of their lives. This extends into attempting to strong-arm their way into lesbian spaces and badger cis lesbians about how bigoted they are about not accepting girldick, because at the end of the day they are attempting to live out their porn influenced fantasies but hate to admit it. Isn't it funny that Philosophy Tube is trying to write off Blanchard and his research, and what that might imply about himself, in this context?

Blanchard and J Michael Bailey are both proper sexologists and psychologists who have done lots of extremely in depth research into these areas, far more so than Olly would ever hope to understand. But their conclusions speak to uncomfortable realities that people like Philosophy Tube can't stand because they shatter the myths and self image they've built around themselves and the nature of being trans in the first place. So the only possible recourse is to ignore their actual work and treat them with active hostility, presenting them not as professional scientists who might have made pertinent discoveries but as essentially the same as a Nazi White Supremacist screaming about how white people need to exterminate every other race, or at best compare them to the most shrill, controversial and incoherent TERFs even though they don't really have much in common.

Judith Butler actually defended her shitty writing by claiming that in writing in such turgid prose she's forcing the reader to really think about the concepts she's exploring and pay attention, which kinda tallies with what Tube's arguing.

The most succinct translation of that sentence I've seen is "Structuralists say capitalism operates as a powerful “top-down” system, making businesses, schools, and other institutions look and operate the same way. Well, yes, Olly, because to most people, there's the assumption that someone who feels like the opposite sex to what they were born as will get medical treatment that's supposed to bring them closer to what they think they ought to be. And he mentioned growing man boobs at one point too and having to hide them before he came out.

But I guess in the woke Breadtube world, "trans" is just a self applied label that can mean literally anything. I don't know much about the world of TV and film acting but I swear you never see other people blabbing about stuff?

From what I have picked up, its considered not just gauche but the general theme in telly and film is quite secretive so I guess its just best practice to not flap on constantly. A huge amount of big actors dont bother with (a public) social media at all.

So he's had 3 proper roles, all of which scored and produced before anything else had been on show.

Be interesting to see if he manages to keep much going after his rapidly deflating bubble goes down even more (and he demonstrates what a knob he is both on and off set-
I've mentioned it before- and despite her graciousness- but the Nigella blabbing will have been taken notice of, also the LGBT award bait and switch.

If that was the case then Olly wouldn't be able to namedrop his long time association with Steve Coogan, and its crucially important that people be aware that he, Abigail Thorne, was featured in the upcoming smash hit tv show 'Chivalry' alongside high profile comedic actor Steve Coogan, who you might recognize from such properties as Alan Partridge, The Other Guys and Tropic Thunder!

I just love the way that he mentions Coogan out of nowhere as an actor for the fucking Joker, despite the fact that nothing about Coogan's filmography previously would suggest this is a role he'd even want, simply because he needs to make everybody aware of his thin connection to an actually famous person.

People like Hbomberguy, Contrapoints and Lindsay Ellis are always featuring other well known Breadtube personalities in their videos for things like line readings, or posting about hanging out with each other on Social Media. I know that PT still has some connection with Lindsay Ellis and did the audiobook for her recent novels but that seems like it could have been a baked in a contract from years ago. He doesn't really seem to interact with any other notable Breadtubers anymore since the rift with Contrapoints, and its interesting that Lindsay is one of the only ones who looked liked she might be going somewhat mainstream for a while when she was riding the wave off her Hobbit videos, releasing her books with a big publisher and being a host for PBS, if PT sniffs out anything close to real fame he'll latch onto it immediately but Lindsay's star might be faltering since her second book does not seem to have sold well so he'll probably abandon her soon too.

He really seems like he only cares about other people insofar as they are useful for his profile and career.
