Gotta disagree.

This trial is being done to make an example of Kyle. It's to illustrate that no matter how much video you have, no matter how beneficial the witnesses are, and no matter your cause you will go through the criminal justice process.

You will be arrested, you will be jailed. You will be smeared as a racist. The facts do not matter as we can just call it racially charged or lie about why you went there.

This might not dissuade young people but it will dissuade the boomers. You might still go free but that's after about $500k in legal fees, likely job loss, stigmatization, and the possibility of civil suits.
All the more reason the right has to be vocal about the following:
Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero.

They are going to be handing out a lot of doompills today after he gets mixed sentencing and 10 years minimum in jail, reading all the salt in this thread and @ing everyone who disliked my prediction when it comes true is going to make for a very, very enjoyable day and also a sad one.
Can't you at least wait till it happens before you start rubbing our noses in it?

Agreed, and it's worth mentioning that, while Kyle got lucky in a staggering number of ways, one of the biggest was that his case was essentially unprecedented. He received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to help with his bail and his defense. Can we really expect the same outpouring of public support the next time the establishment decides to railroad someone in a position like Kyle's? People have short attention spans, and I'm worried that once they "win" this battle (if they even do, that is), that they won't be able to bother to muster up the energy the next time this happens. Because it will happen again.

People didn't dislike your prediction because they thought it couldn't happen. People disliked it because there's a dozen faggots going "haha he going to jail" and contributing literally nothing else to the discussion.

Has anyone ever successfully nailed a media outlet for libel or defamation? I mentally file that under "shit that will never happen" right next to the successful anarchist society.
The MAGA hat kid got a multi-million dollar settlement.

It wasn't quite nailing the media to the wall, but it was a statement they overstepped.

Didn't Hulk Hogan chokeslam Gawker into bankruptcy over defamation a few years ago?

Yes, but he had the backing of Peter Thiel, PayPal billionaire to help with the lawfare. My understanding of that whole case was that Peter had it in for Gawker and used the Hulk Hogan case to destroy them, not so much that Hulk Hogan was chokeslamming Gawker itself.

If I was him I'd be finding a small town in Alaska and changing my name and appearance. Being the the paranoid asshole I am, I'd also get my groceries and mail through a proxy.
If it were me I'd get me a remote piece of property in the mountains and wire it up with a surveillance system that would make Dale Gribble jealous.
