never underestimate the power of clown world.
I remember the gun rally at my capitol last year after 5-inch Floyd. Government actively pushing globohomo all the way. My dad was too afraid to go with me because (as a former cop) I guess he understood that State dog willingness to follow orders and kill citizens.

Depends. He gets the 2 million bail back. He'll have to pay for his lawyers, but that's still enough to be quite comfortable.

He could get even more of a payday if he goes after the media for everything that went down.

Tldr: He has enough where he could buy a nice place in a rural area and live serenely for decades.
alternatively, his family might use that money to sue the shit out of the lying media outlets

@Random Internet Person
Would you mind adding 9 am EST for deliberation to the secondary title of the thread?
It's central, not eastern. We've got another half hour or so.

What does the rest of the gang get to do while deliberations are going on? I know the alternates will be separated but do the judge and lawyers have to hang out in the courtroom all day? Play cards, maybe?

Would that be worth it though? If I was Kyle I don't think I'd get greedy. Take the cash you already have and head for the hills instead of continuing to gamble in clowncourts.

I'm pretty sure they all have to be on hand in case the jury has questions / reaches a verdict but I have no idea what they work on in the interim.

Oops my bad. I meant to say 10 because a lot of people are showing up thinking it's 9 am EST.

Well the defense counsel gets to double-bill (work on and bill for another case while still billing for sitting around on hold for this one) which is about the best situation an attorney can ask for. The prosecutors don't get to bill anybody so:

The lawyers for both sides will be relatively close to the court so they can immediately answer/be a part of any questions that the jury brings up to the judge.

Some will power-game possible scenarios as preparation, others will do work for other cases while there is a lull.
