A directed verdict would have happened already, before deliberations. If it happens afterwards, it's a judgment notwithstanding the verdict. The general result is identical, though. The defense has to have moved for a directed verdict at the close of the prosecution's case to move for a JNOV after the verdict, though.

As a non-clapistani, how does the jury thing actually work?
Do the jurors take residence in like a hotel throughout the time they attend the trial or do they stay at home (ie: is there any measure to prevent them from learning what's going on outside)?
If they are not present when Judge Baldy Badass chews out ScumBinger, they'd learn about it the moment they come home, so there'd be no reason to even send them out whatsoever.

Also, I thought the jurors started going in the backroom right after closing statements, is that correct?
I think the details are up to the Judge, the Jurors were allowed to go home until now..but since they are in deliberation Dad-Judge might send them to a hotel if they fuck around all day and don't come back.

Anybody else catch the irl schizoposter who just rocked up in front of the court room?
It's okay thats the prosecutor.

I don't get it either, it was just something people here said do for some reason or another.

As if my post wasn't stupid enough to obviously be not reality. But just for shits and giggles, obviously I'm joking. I don't want people mowed down with a minigun.
Nah, I got you were joking. Was just commenting on it because this is a new venue than my normal haunt. So hey, maybe someone -here- can justify the stupidity.

Jurors sit in a room of the courthouse to deliberate. In this case specifically Schroeder will let the jury decide when they want to go home for the day. They’re not sequestered so they would drive home and then come back the next day, if they were sequestered then they would indeed be given accomodations at say a hotel.

I'm doubtful that the feds would have real charges they could bring against Rittenhouse, I think the only reason they could go after Chauvin was that he was a police officer.

How the fuck does someone who raped 5 children even walk the streets? I thought that they threw you away for that and you become the prison yard cumdump.
Child rapists spend so little time in jail, it's fucking infuriating. I was listening to a podcast about Jessica Lunsford (ye, I'm a basic bitch) and I spent days seething over what happened to that little girl. We really fail our children every time we release a pedo from jail.

I thought Kyle had a better chance than Chauvin (lol how anyone though Chauvin wasn't going to be convicted is beyond me) but with how long it's taking and the jury wanting copies of the self defense privilage is not good. As usual the more pro-gun side is going to cuck and let the hardline leftists convince them that Kyle merely exsisting at the riot, let alone having a gun and daring to move the flaming trashcan of peace, was provocation.
