Yup. Time marches on and if there is one thing a court cares more about than "justice" (ha ha), it's keeping it's calendar from getting any more backed up.

I think dragging out the verdict decreases the chance of drama and people going apeshit in Kenosha. A couple people might hang out in front of the building, but their number will dwindle the longer they have to wait. So there's that, at least.

If the judge is now busy with other cases, that might also impact timing of this whole ordeal. The jury might as well be finished, but they need to wait till the judge is free to be present for their verdict... Or it'll take them days to come to terms. We'll see.
