Socrates literally condemned himself. His death was an irl shitpost where he convinced the "democratic" Athenians that their own philosophy was bullshit, and they sentenced him for death because of how angry that made them.

Socrates was a completely awesome dude, he knew that his death would be remembered for thousands of years, probably for the entire length of history humanity even exists, and used it to spit contempt at a philosophy he despised, and was correct to despise.

If you disagree, name a single one of the prosecutors of Socrates you remember.
Phil and bobby!

That's the problem, don't care what jury asked, judge just glossed over the Brady violation in that discussion, did he not?
He said they would need a whole new line of testimony regarding it. Everyone involved in processing the video and handing it off to the defense under oath, as well as expert testimony about digital video as well.

Why do they even need the Grosskreutz footage in the first place? Doesn't the self defence claim hinge on the Rosenbaum shooting?
Best bet, the holdouts are making every single charge a fight.

Not to be a shithead but I'm pretty sure people telling others to be calm and the recipients of such advice following that instruction is how we got to this point.

Maybe, just maybe we could use a little less calm.
Wild mass panic serves nobody. Be calm, determine where to do the most effort, then be less calm.

Eeeeeh, he hasn't ruled on the motion yet. Should he have? I'd say yes. But the problem is that it seems he is boomer enough to not be sure it -is- a Brady violation or at least an intentional one. The fact he was talking about sworn testimony says where he is going on that.
Most of these problems would've been resolved if defense council was competent and if there was at least one fucking person who knows what they're doing
Judge just doesn't fucking understand these things, and only prosecutors are willing to lie to his face and gaslight him to get their way

Different time different place. Citizenship meant something. It was basically the equivalemt of a jury made up of 100 1%ers today. Distinguished gentlemen with their reputation (in those days their livelyhood) on the line.
Yup, I'm aware. And that's exactly the problem, these modern juries and lawyers have nothing on the line unless they actually help the defense, and everything to gain by going against it

Socrates final shit was so fucking based. He just obliterated the Athenians so hard.

I had figured the judge was holding off until after the verdict, if it was hung/guilty to set aside the jury verdict and then, and only then declare mistrial with prejudice. Am I coping or is that likely?
It's possible and since that's probably what he stopped himself saying back when he was chewing them out over a fucking constitutional violation I don't think he's forgotten about it. A not guilty would be a more compassionate outcome for Kyle of the available options and less headaches so it's rational.

Can't believe you fuckers still have copium left.
It’s not cope. What it is, is my conviction and belief that Kyle’s actions weighed against those of his accusers and more specifically the prosecution will lead him to victory. I still believe in justice. I’ve never given up on my country or humanity. That’s what it means to be strong, to stay strong.

It takes a lot to tear the mask off of democratic societies.

No, that's what it means to cope and you're doing it hard. Believing in this country and its people is what got us into this shithole.

The woman did fucking fantastic, bringing up several good points which clearly swayed the judge against making a rash decision.

Again, he was talking about sworn testimony. Clearly, he takes it seriously, but he's such a damn boomer he doesn't know if it's an actual violation or not.

I hope Kyle gets the justice that he deserves. This trial went against everything that our laws stand for. You know that our justice system is no longer fair when the masses upstage everything. Kyle doesn't deserve to be attacked like he has been. The fact that the jurors has to be hidden from camera and all social media/news outlets shows that the left has so shame in their actions. The officer that "killed" George FUCKING Floyd wasn't given a fair trial due to the same reasons that Kyle's trial is currently going through. When the public gets in the way of due process, no matter the circumstances, that trial should be dismissed immediately due to outside influences. That will get these people to back the fuck off a mile away.
