Could be that they want to delay the verdict until Friday so they can get their kids and GTFO town before the burning starts. Thanksgiving break starts Friday with a half day or completely Monday for a lot of public schools in the US. Jury might be thinking that no matter the outcome they want to be able to get their kids and disappear for a week or so.
