I always saw it as a guilty indulgence for these critics. You know the artists in pixiv will exploit these fanservice scene and draw porn or make koikatsu scenes and Patreon these girls. They want to indulge in the arousing nature of such depictions of prostitution but can't because being publicly perverted is condemned in their socjus environment and a meme now.
I mean this episode is your typical hentai manga grooming plot except at least here the girls got a happy ending instead of a)buried alive where no one will find them or b)become mindbroken cumsluts. though unfortunately pixiv already got right to work on it once they saw the episode.

Honestly, it's just picking on the little guy, none of his shit is actually popular, but every sped on reddit/ANN love to seethe at his stuff because they absolutely cannot handle anything that Netflix deals on the daily.
