The purpose of the Republican party is to prevent the arising of a true Right Wing party.

However, a necessity of serving that purpose is that the Republican party must remain semi-open to Right Wing supporters. Meaning if there is a sufficient Right Wing populist push then it may be possible to "retake" the party. As Trump and his supporters did. What if Trump isn't Jesus. What if Trump is merely John the Baptist?
Trump didn't need to walk on water. He just needed to be an American with America's interests in mind, and he did that beautifully.

what trump did was rock the boat and open Pandoras box. people want "the adults back in charge" but you notice people are getting crazyer, there's no going back to how it was. and the establishment dems hate that.
if you pay attention, you notice politicians are getting more bold these days and are putting tradition to the back
De Santis seems to have absorbed some of his habits, but he has a lot more raw wisdom that trump doesn't
let me tell you what happens if kyle loses.
conservative states will retaliate by further strengthening self defesne laws.
leftist states might further weaken them.
this trial is a cultural trial and that burden was thrust upon unfairly onto Kyle.

Why does Grosscrotch look so different in the photos from the night of the shooting, the pre-trial shit, and his actual testimony? He goes between looking like A Wyatt Mann illustration, to a normal looking guy, to a total hipster faggot and all of them look completely different?

тупой рейтинг.жпг
это ж реплаить надо, тут полтреда реплаев с жпегами будет.

On the topic: I really hope this ends today (with mistrial or letting him go). For some reason I got emotionally involved like a dumbass and this felt exausting.

It's not a crime to care, but caring so much that you neglect yourself is foolish.

DeSantis has some Bushite people in his orbit, such as his spokeswoman retweeting Dats Racist type replies at Trump aides like Steve Cortes that smack of the worst kind of cuckservatism. Also have seen alot of his fanboys exaggerate Trump faults. I am neutral on DeSantis himself, but that sort of thing is a bad omen.

I think alot of the younger crowed (30 or under) either weren't paying attention much or were too young to remember what 'normal' Republican rule is like. They assume that you can have Trump but without his baggage. Personally, I think Trump is too old to run so this is not an apologia for him in 2024. But alot of people don't remember how much worse the betrayals were under the Bushes and going back even earlier to Reagan's various wimp outs.

It's Altruism.
As for Kyle, I'm hoping his Defense team actually push the mistrial with prejudice. Prosecution has had enough chances in slipping up.
They can continue to push for it, and in fact I think they should, if for nothing else than the principle of it, but at this point it seems pretty clear that the judge isn't going to do anything until the jury comes to a decision or comes back hung.

What worries me was their sudden and unexpected push for mistrial without prejudice yesterday. That to me indicates a lack of confidence on their end, and I can't for the life of me understand why they would suddenly begin to founder, unless they have reason to believe that jury deliberations aren't going their way.

I haven't watched yesterday, did the defence really push for a mistrial without prejudice or is Binger trying to cover his ass? I can't imagine Richards would do that. I also can't imagine a hung jury with a guilty tilt, for the life of me I can't...
Kyles defence is the worst if he were to cave now. Except if he was threatened by the mob.

Yes they did, but it's less insane than people here seem to think. It works as a compromise between what they want and the worst-case scenario, encouraging the judge to go along with it. Especially given we are on the edge of a hung jury which would be the same thing in the end.

It was more or less an attempt to skip the bullshit and get right to the end.

I'm emotionally exhausted tbh; the coof madness, this past summer's riots, Biden's determination to wreck America with inflation, illegals, mandates, shortages, you name it, he's fucked it up and now a poor chubby half taco who's one fault was to believe in good government/law and order bullshit is the test case for the right to self defense in the USA.

My anxiety level is through the roof, and rightly so.

A mistrial, even without prejudice, benefits the defense. The prosecution doesn't have anything else they can bring up to the table, and most of their evidence and witnesses were terrible. Most of Binger's closing statement was essentially saying "disregard everything you saw here, just listen to me!", while Krauss' was all about "it wasn't serious!". A retrial would still have all the evidence and all the testimony generated in this trial, and none of that looks good for the prosecution.

And it's important to note that "Mistrial without prejudice" is what a hung jury results in. With prejudice -is- preferable, but convincing the judge of it is proving an uphill task.
