My favourite thing about this line of attack has always been the unintended admission these speds were fine with all this shit until Rowling crossed the line and stated biological sex was real. Calling the only Asian character Cho fucking Chang? Wonderful, yay representation! Retconning Dumbledore to be a shirt-lifter? Not lazy tokenism, at all! Saying Hermione could have always been black even though you very obviously wrote her as a white character? So woke, thank you Joanne!

For all the things I'm grateful to JKR for, I think her greatest contribution to this dumbass cultural slapfight is serving as a perfect example of how utterly fickle the woke mob is. The second you go against the grain all the good will you've generated evaporates and suddenly everything that made you a paragon of Social Justice is now used to demonstrate why you're every -ist or -phobe in the book.

I can't wait til it happens to Stephen King, because they are gonna have a field day with his work; dude's never met a black character he didn't find a way to call nigger.

If anything, the Civil Rights movement and Black Lives Matter proved that the majority of people only gave a fuck about human rights when it's convenient and profitable; black people had been fighting for centuries, and they are STILL being murdered by cops for no damn reason.


The way I see it, trying to appease the majority or assimilate into them is a fool's errand; it cannot be done, and even it it can be, just like with how racial relationship rapidly worsened in the US and queer rights are quickly being rolled back in the UK, it won't last anyways.


So fuck all that noise. Why should we be equal when we're better than them? They are the ones who commit and support rape and genocide for one bullshit excuses after another, and then don't even have the guts to own up to their bigotry and selfishness. It's fucking disgusting.


I dunno about you, but instead of being a "tenderqueer" who is laughed at by people left and right for the crime of trying to be NICE, I'd rather be a monsterqueer who is feared and respected because everyone knows I'm the baddest and meanest motherfucker in my neighborhood.

She wasn't just pandering in the past, she really always has been a Nice Very Liberal White Lady who wasn't cynically acting for woke points. Which meant that she was a bit cringe and clueless at times, but she believed in what she was doing. And then when she saw things that diverged from her beliefs, she spoke out about them.

I point this out because it's obvious that this personality trait of Rowling's is utterly baffling to her detractors. They cannot grasp that most, but not all, of her beliefs line up with theirs: they can't seem to grasp what it is even like to have stable beliefs instead of just parroting the latest updated language, attacking anyone who doesn't, and calling it a day. They shriek with rage that her beliefs don't change no matter how much they yell at her.
