The way this shit just fades into the background, geological layers of lies and grifts going back years.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Thousands spent on WWE Champions JPEGS. I watched Phil’s orgasm face glitter in the dark near the beginning of prestreams.

So yeah, shit driver IRL, and that's before we take into consideration that he doesn't wear the prescription glasses he's supposed to wear. I honestly hope Kat is the one driving at this point b/c he's likely a legitimate danger to other drivers.
I doubt he drives anymore, because so many things scare him and I would expect the act of being in control of a big metal box with an engine surrounded by other such objects to be one of those things. Dude can't even talk to people.

Since he started wearing the gunner glasses, I've ceased thinking that his refusal to put on any that help him see is out of fear of the jokes, since honestly it has to be more irksome to him that we meme about him playing dress up for shekels like a cam whore.

No, I'm now pretty sure it's about the fact that if he wore corrective lenses, it would mean admitting that people are right to tell him to, and we know how he is about other people being right. It obviously applies to more than just detractors, since I've never seen any photos or footage of him wearing corrective lenses, and I seriously doubt his poor vision has only caused him problems while playing video games. He has had comments about needing glasses most of his life, and as he admitted to yesterday, he's one of those motherfuckers you can't tell nothing to.

Basically, he doesn't wear them because he loves being spiteful as much he loves being lazy.
My god, remember the 2,000 dollar cat reveal? When he straight up lied after people predicted it, saying no one had even come close to predicting it? The way this shit just fades into the background, geological layers of lies and grifts going back years.
Learning about shit like that is what prompted me to go from "Phil is a dumbass who knows not what he does" to "Phil is a scumbag who enjoys getting away with sleazy shit and lies as easily as he breathes".

Edit: You bring up a lot of very good points, but another thing to factor in is that Dave is living in a 80's-90's highschool movie. And he's NOT a fucking 4 eye nerd looser.......he's not..no really.

What's the context here? Why was he suddenly willing to wear them? He doesn't look happy about it, but then again he rarely looks happy, so...

And yes, there's that obnoxious "I insist on being seen as an outdated model of the cool guy" attitude of his, but as I said, he has demonstrated holes in that lately with his dress-up game. So I don't think it's just that.

I'm going of very sketchy memory here, but I think this was from before the move and I think he just got back from the DMV. Fucked if I know why he decided to share, but back then he over shared to a frighteningly degree.

Funniest part about it is that they're barely noticeable on his big fat head, I'd bet that on his 144p webcam you wouldn't notice them unless you actively looked for them.

Ah, I should've expected that, given the fullness of his goatee, and the fact that he did indeed share a lot in those days. Even a newfag like me has gotten acquainted with that, however much I don't have the full picture, I'm sure.

With that info, then, I must reason that like his uncharacteristic honesty about being stubborn in yesterday's pre-stream, selfies like that are what Phil is like before you throw things at him he refuses to allow in his life. Like criticism, or jokes at his expense. He longs to talk openly and freely about a lot of things, and would to this day if it weren't for those pesky consequences that aren't supposed to come with any of the things he likes doing.

But that's the selfie, not the act of wearing glasses. He relegates wearing them to when he drives because he legit stupidly thinks he doesn't need them for things up close, like a TV screen. Even though he does. He has said so, I just previously assumed that was a lie, and not something he genuinely believed from being an idiot. Easy mistake, given that he's Phil.

Phil stopped oversharing when he realised it was hurting his image with the paypigs. When people began to question why he was in need of money so often. With the glasses, I'd bet sympathy points, seeing as it makes him look more "normal" to his wheelchairs.

I need the best and brightest to assist. What do we think Phil bought in Lowe's back on 20th January 2021 for $1158.20? It was by far his biggest single expense if you ignore him paying mortgage and taxes.

We know that Phil needed his dad's assistance to know how to paint a wall a solid color and to learn how to spray weed killer on weeds, so we can safely assume that it was not for home improvement supplies.

Some have speculated that it was for a grill or an air conditioning unit, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to purchase those items in January.

If it was for a new appliance, we probably would have had a begging segment about how something broke and he needs money to replace it. He cried poor when the knob on his shower broke, why wouldn't he do the same if something really major broke?

It is still a mystery what Phil could have spent a grand on at Lowes.

Forgot to say that it was probably on the 19th January when he purchased, think it delayed updating on statement as he got haircut and went to Fred Meyer then.

It does look like whatever he got it slipped under everyone's radar, so probably a secret home improvement of sorts?

I'm trying to figure out if it's a single item purchase or the total of a full cart of shit. I worked in corporate hardware briefly and there's not a ton of individual items that cost over a grand that would be usable by someone living in a condo. He's not buying a riding mower or shop equipment. If I had to guess, I'd go with a roll away toolbox. They can be used to organize a lot of shit that isn't related to tools. If he was buying multiple items, then it could literally be anything. My 2nd guess would be a high end grill/smoker.

Lol what ? A toolbox? This guy taped up his coatrack. It could be nearly anything in the store. Refrigerator, dishwasher, anything. It's not a toolbox though I can tell you that right now.

My money for the mysterious bill is a washer or fridge.

Phil's grift only works by jogging the empathy buttons of retards who don't have real world responsibilities. No denthead is gonna have to replace a washer or refrigerator. Phil can't tug in heartstrings when he needs things his paypigs' mommies and daddies usually handle. Since there's no pity buck's to wrangle, he just bought the appliance to shut Khet up and kept on begging
