I'm not sure how that would work because you have to get a full background check to apply for nursing school, and pending murder charges will not look good. if the jury says guilty then there is no way the judge throws out their verdict, ESPECIALLY not with prejudice. at best he will point out that there was prosecutorial misconduct which can be challenged on appeal, and that's the end of his involvement in the case.

The least grave charge that's still on the table is reckless endangerment, which with a gun modifier is something like 10-15 years. So it will still absolutely ruin Kyle's life.

At the moment about 42% of Americans have a college degree of some kind, and the current college loan debt sits at 1.73 trillion. With a T. Because very little of that is getting paid off, because universities have become ridiculous useless fucking shams where young people go to stave off growing up for a few years and the degree you get is often barely worth the paper it's printed on; like so many stagnant institutions they've increasingly become nothing more than useless parasites who make money from their ingrained status as social gatekeepers rather than by their actual value to the productivity or growth of anyone or anything.

Years ago, when everyone got into college, I was the jackass that went into tech school. In the short term, this was a terrible fucking decision because Clinton and Bush's economic policies incentivized outsourcing and the entire tech industry in the USA cratered as far as hardware was concerned.

In the long-term, however, this was a blessing in disguise. All of my friends who went for college are saddled with, at best, tens of thousands of dollars in debt that they won't pay off until they're in their fifties and with degrees that aren't helping them land jobs - and they were mostly competent about majors, going into shit like business management and economics. The shittiness of the economy spares no one.

Remember, the jury has been deliberating for 3 days, going on 4, with the total time at around 24 hours. Historically, the longer a jury deliberates, the more likely a Not Guilty verdict comes down or a mistrial occurs.

The State has had every opportunity to drop this case, but because Binger has an axe to grind, he wants to win, truth be damned. Also, this is the same state that is still trying to keep James Avery locked up.
