None of this would probably work but it's funny to think about some dude going into court for a Jay Walking ticket pulling shit like that just to fuck with a judge or prosecutor. I know if I ever go to court for something like a traffic ticket I'm asking for trial by combat for shits and giggles.

It's a good skill to have. In addition to other lost skills, like being able to sew on a button.
