I apologize for staying home all week during normal business hours and thereby keeping the jury in deliberations. As soon as I brush my teeth and head out to take care of my aforementioned Things, they'll start to wrap it up and the verdict will be announced while I'm unavailable to watch. Holding strong on my guess. There's no way you could sway a middle aged white female to a not guilty. On the other hand, you could definitely swing a midwit middle aged man to guilty in a battle of attrition and with enough gish-galloping. If Kyle had any chance of walking, the results would've been in days ago. There's also no way a middle aged white woman would settle for anything other than the full enchilada; I doubt they'd agree to just the reckless endangerment, and if they're hitting him with a murder charge for Pedobaum, they'd hit him with a murder charge for Skateboard Guy and whatever charge applies for Grosskreutz.

I'm not dooming, I'm just making a logic-based guess. I'm still holding some hope our boy can walk free and get nice defamation checks from CNN, MSNBC, and all the other journos and politicians who lied about him.

(And for any of you who jump to say this is wrong because of the dismissed gun charges / curfew thing, I'm going with the interpretation of "guilty on all charges" meaning "guilty on all charges that currently apply.")

I still think it can go either way. People are susceptible to social pressure, and if it’s one woman against 11 other people she may very well have been worn down. If there were some 20 year old college student holding it up I would agree with you, but I just can’t see many older women being able to handle a room full of people angry and annoyed at them. I reckon at least one of the white guys on the jury will be at least as obstinate as she is anyway.

A guilty verdict is most likely, I just don’t think it’s set in stone.
