It didn't even so much started as satire as one now-fired shitlibs who worked on Rogue Trader, when ever he got the talkie stick, tried to inject as much Fascism parody into the Imperium as he could get away with.

I don't get this idea that the left hold a monopoly on humor and conservatives and right-wing people can't take a joke. I've seen it myself: conservatives crack jokes about themselves all the time and they enjoy a good satire. Some of the best, wittiest biblical jokes I've ever heard in my life were told by my rural, highly religious relatives down in the south.

What they don't like, and that's something I personally agree with after the past few years of Current Year, is being insulted and preached to. Early 40K in particular was so over-the-top and insane in every direction it wasn't preachy, it was just silly.

Mine’s the same, owner enforces STRICT neutrality. He’ll throw out a blue hair while also curating our all “Deus Vult Paladin” campaign to make sure we aren’t slaughtering Muslims.

Been lucky enough to have based or based-adjacent LGS owners in my neck of the woods. As long as we didn't get too stupid and scare away customers, we were good.

We're on Kiwi Farms. We're definitely terminally online weirdos. Anyway it seems like a nothingburger. GW's president could get away with the proverbial broad daylight murder on 5th avenue and people would still buy warhams. The audience is either locked in spergs who can't play anything else or children who hardly care.
