So after listening to some of Racket's streams and him having Barnes on, constantly talking shit about the defence, heard a little bit of Richard's thoughts on him and the other attorneys (without him naming him) in the post verdict interview. Yeah, not positive.

-3:11 - "His initial attorneys wanted to use Kyle for a cause, and that was inappropriate and I don't, I support clients". "I told him when he was in custody that if he wanted to have a crusade, I wasn't his lawyer".

-15:09 - "There is going to be a fight over the 2 million dollar bond, Linwood is going to say he's entitled to that money, at least we get to have that discussion".

-15:59 - Interviewer: "Now that the case has finished and you can look back at it, what was the pivotal moment that was successful in your case". Richards: "Getting rid of the first two lawyers *raises eyebrow*, and that might be a smart, mouthy comment, but I mean that. I got my best friend, Corey (Agent 47), my best friend, to join, who I trust. Being able to work with someone who you don't have to check their work, don't worry about what they are going to be doing, you give them a project and it's done, as good or better as you would have done it".

So Barnes, past all his inside knowledge of the case and him talking about how much of a mistake them kicking him off the case was, if we can infer from these comments, is: A grifter looking to use a client for both money and ideological/political reasons, who's work needed to be double checked, and was likely riddled with errors, and they had to worry about what he was doing outside of it.

And this is someone Nick swears by. Guess grifters stay together.

Barnes was never Kyles' lawyer and was way more critical of Lin Wood than he has been of Richards. Straight up calling Lin wood a fraud multiple times since the Sandmann cases started. I don't know how anything Richards said relates to Barnes.

Edit:
I will also note that the defense only contacted Andrew Branca half way thru the trial. The guy who literally wrote the book on self-defense. He seemed thoroughly unimpressed with Richards along with the rest of the panel.

Idk why this keeps getting repeated but Barnes was not one of Kyle's first two lawyers. They were John Pierce and Lynn Wood the people fighting Kyle over the 2 mil people donated to Kyles defense fund. Barnes had nothing to do with that.

Why there is such a hate boner for Barnes on here is weird.

Because he is clearly a self-promoting, pseudo-science peddling, blowhard.

Then what exactly did he have to do with it? I got the impression that he was trying to become part of the legal team somehow but I don't remember specifics.

If you believe Barnes(and seeing as he was in Kenosha a day before the trial and then got kicked off the team) he was brought on as part of Kyle's defense team after Richard's and 47 were Lready Kyle's lawyers a month or two before the trial began. His main job was to help in the PR department. Barnes then was supposed to help with jury selection and brought in a behavioral panel plus the People's Pundit to help with that. Barnes has also said that he wanted to get other lawyers to actually defend Kyle instead of Richard's and 47 and seeing as two of the lawyers he claims to have wanted and contacted about were on the same stream(Nicks) at the same time when Barnes said it and didn't contradict him I tend to believe that.

Now Barnes will tell you he got kicked off the team when he started asking about where all the only was going since the trust wasn't under Wendy Rittenhouse's name. Again I tend to believe him seeing as we have Pierce and Wood still trying to steal money from Kyle and they aren't the only scumbags around.

Barnes being a boisterous, pompous, egotist, who wanted to replace the main defense team because he thought they weren't up to snuff probably made it easy to let him go from Richard's perspective if what Barnes is saying is true. Even if it's not true it's reason enough to boot someone.

But in terms of practical things Barnes did, he claims he got them polling information that showed how biased everyone was, that the defense did not use. He claims he had strategies attacking Binger and how to defend Kyle the defense team did not use. So Barnes has had practically 0 impact on the case and he has not claimed to have any impact on the case. He's mostly been bitching about how he wasn't able to help despite that's all he wanted to do.

Does Barnes seems like the kind of person who would be assigned one bit part of a project and then proceed to make the entire thing about them and take 100% of the credit?

Yes he does. Especially if that bit part makes him the sole media contact doing all the interviews.

Ritchard's comments weren't aimed at Barnes but rather John Pearce(?) and Lin Wood. Ritchards doesn't seem to be a fan of the original lawyers(John and Lin) and David Hancock. Hancock is Kyle's head of security who someone has become the overlord of the funds from freekyleusa and has inserted himself to being the spokeperson. This guy comes across as a glowie to the extreme. It's gonna be a bloodbath for the bond money between kyle and his mom, john pearce, lin wood, and david hancock.

You mean why would be people dislike a smugfag lawyer who openly admitted that he wanted to lessen the role of Kyle's lawyers in the trial because he didn't think they were very good, as well as generally being very salty? For as much as these panel of lawyers were "unimpressed" with Kyles lawyers, they got him off, which is what matters.

The only person to appear on Rekieta's panel throughout the entire trial who got the "should Kyle testify" analysis right was QuarterPounder. Let that sink in. Hours upon hours of overthinking that issue when it really did just come down to no Wisconsin jury acquitting a murder charge without hearing from the defendant. Lawyers.

Has Barnes even appeared anywhere since the verdict? He was noticeably absent from that and I haven't seen him anywhere. I wonder where he's going to stand on that bail issue.

According to Roberts in that interview they did two mock juries in preparation for this trial. One without Kyle testifying and one with, and it showed that they had to put him on for the reason you said. No Wisconsin jury is going to acquit a murder charge without them putting the defendant on the stand. It was a calculated move that they had to do and it worked very well. For as much as this panel of expert lawyers sat there criticising the defence, that's easy to do when it isn't any of their asses in the spotlight doing the job. If they all had their way and didn't put him up on the stand, he would likely be in prison and we would be hearing about how pozzed this country is.

Apparently Barnes has gone on Fox news to say his piece or something like that.

Barnes went on Laura Ingraham on Fox and has done a few streams on his and Viva's locals page. Short version, he's grateful Kyle is free, he wouldn't have suggested Kyle do the Tucker thing, and there will be a figurative bloodbath around the outstanding money, including the bail. He's also called out the Hancock guy as glowie.

I know one of those is that lawofselfdefense guy, but is the second lawyer he wanted?
