Usually nature is some beautiful woman when depicted, not a frosted turd... and nature admitted that he made intersex people while drunk, which is saying it was a mistake. Or something. So is Stophie saying intersex is a mistake? Goddamn her strawmen make way more sense than her normal characters.

Anyway, making Nature a beautiful woman is embracing cis stereotypes that only women can be mothers. It kind of looks like a hipster amoeba to me though.

That brings up something that I forgot to mention. What if the child WANTS to be cis? What if he wants to grow up normally and not have to deal with all of this tucute bullshit? Every young child in this comic is either trans, "nonbinary", or gay, and the only cis, straight and male characters in the comic are villains (Martin, The speaker (even though he's gay) etc).

The other problem is if he wants to be in the binary. More John Wayne and less Jonathan McIntosh.

Yeah it doesn't really make sense when as the reader we are supposed to believe that Stephie, a child, knows better than the personification of nature.

Well, actually. Famous seems to fit. He created one of the best known hits for Powerpuff Girls. If you loved or known about Powerpuff Girls, you knew him. He made some of the most well known art pieces around. Some of his characters are pretty much well loved. (Bell, for example) If you were a fan of PPG in 2007 or so, you knew Bleedman. (Creating PPGD and getting the backing to it was pretty successful, even if its still considered a "fan" comic)

I think unemployment and Tumblr are breaking down Sophie's already-fragile grip on reality. Her comics are making less and less sense. The strawmen are Dobson-level terrible now, but still more likable and reasonable than the main cast, and the comic is quickly approaching "But in the Stone Age..."-style random-access humor.

I think the thought process was something like this:

"Intersex people are nature's mistakes? What the hell makes you the expert on what nature's mistakes are? Do you have nature on speed-dial?"

And then Sophie royally fucked up trying to translate that into a comic.

I think being an oppressed transexual is a lifestyle choice for Sophie and by proxy her self insert Stephie, I mean she doesn't believe that you need to feel dysphoria about your gender to be a transexual or want a sex change and since they refer to themselves as a transgendered all the time instead of trying to pass as female in society it's the only conclusion I can come to!

There was a shampoo commercial a few years ago who touted that it would make women's hair as soft as kids hair... I forget which brand it was, but that might be where they got it. Other than the fact that hair texture, etc starts changing with age.
