You ever think there might be a reason the feds exercise selective enforcement of this kind of shit? If you craft a narrative to the public you are able to nip a lot of your problems in the ass. Take into consideration that after the Cruz shootings they were able to actually get bumpstocks banned and there was this massive uptick in "white loner mass shooter" awareness as well as anti-gun campaigns going up as well. Nothing is better at passing laws than a bit of blood shed and reactionary clamp down. The same shit happened with the Las Vegas shooting, glow in the dark factor on that one aside.
