Her newest video has such bad sound (traffic passing by and loud overlay music) that makes it pretty much unwatchable. You can see the camera man in the reflection of this door- anyone recognize who this is?

I agree. Venus hates herself and feels vindicated when she is trashing herself, handing herself over to others so they can feed off of her like her mother fed off of her except she is enjoying it, she enjoys the humiliation. I think its also an unconscious way to destroy the brand her mother built and show her mother how destructive she really is. I remember once watching a documentary about the porn industry. They asked a beautiful young woman why she was entering the profession and she replied “To make my father proud of me.” I remember how blown away I was at the answer and how she had no self-awareness of what she was revealing with that statement. It was heart breaking. These people are broken, damaged. Venus has made sure she can never have a normal functioning life by splashing her shame all over the internet. With all she is revealing could she ever get a decent job or sponsorship? Could she find a decent man who would love and respect her and want to build a family with her? She forgets she will not always be young enough to Ho herself out the way she does right now, soon (very soon) all the baby talk and cutsie wootsie, ‘I’m a little anime girl’ nonsense will look ridiculous, she’s at that cusp now! She already looks haggard, soon she will just look like an aging woman trying to cash in on what’s left of her youth and sexuality. She is not investing in herself at all because she cannot show herself any compassion. She is building her own nightmare and its not mental illness its neurosis which is completely different.

Which is behaviour you would expect to see from one who has suffered as much emotional abuse as she has. Self-destructive behaviour is typical in Venus' case. She's been doing it for year. I must have been the only one who wasn't surprised when she announced her porn debut. Here's hoping she goes hardcore.

Was that sincere or sarcastic? If she wasn't trying to be all 'fuck you, dad' then I'd be suprised.
All this talk about coercion just makes me think of that half-Asian girl who willingly went to Meatholes or something when she just turned 18, did a few videos then left as soon as she debuted. She obviously did it to stick it to her dad, who was flaming rich and worked in finance(?) and he gave a shit enough to get it all scrubbed off the internet with his money. Now she seemingly has a successful career in the arts and no dent in her status whatsoever. Whatever the hell that was, Venus obviously doesn't have it in her.

Her Facebook is getting increasingly more disturbing. She (or her pimp, more likely) is posting NSFW photos regularly. Each post gets about 10 comments, a lot of them are just pajeety types commenting an emoji or two but every once in a while you get something weird.

God this is bleak. She's acted like she's wanted to do porn for a long time now so it's genuinely confusing that she'd perform this badly during her debut video. Like, she's been friends with people in the JAV space for a while so obviously she's familiar - JAV is famously exaggerated and over-acted and she actually just starfished her way through this whole thing without even bothering to act or pretend to like it a little bit. What was the point of filming and releasing this even if you're not going to put in some effort to make it good? As it is now its just awkward and embarrassing. Yeesh, Venus.

It seems to me that she's always living rent-free, either with Manaki or her pimp of the month. It wouldn't surprise me if she goes through a cycle of moving out with a new pimp full of free-money dreams, making zero money, falling out with the pimp, and crawling back to Manaki.

The older she is, the more she resembles her mother. It’s that cheap Eastern European hooker look. Not pretty enough to be an escort, but not ugly enough for the streets. Just mediocre enough to work for a cheap whorehouse for truckers, construction workers, and their blue collar fellows. Though she’d definitely be a small budget option.

I think Manaki lets her come back for a multitude of reasons. She’s safer with him and he obviously can’t let his wife vanish; he probably can’t divorce her to begin with, even if he wanted to separate, because he knows how that affects her ability to stay in the country and she’s likely told him she has no homeland to return to because of Margo. And I’m sure the Japanese are well acquainted with loveless marriages and dead bedrooms :drink:
