I am somewhat sadden that with the verdict that all my facebook friends and family who have been political posting since BLM have decided not to share their hot takes. Where has their courage gone? Was it even there? Did they really care about BLM? Or were they like Biden and discarded them to the side and dusted their hands when he took office thinking that racism is over? (Answer Key 1. I've only seen one Instagram story whining. Just one, and it's gone in 24 hours to never been seen again. Real big commitment right there. The biggest whiner I know only sub-posted about it, complaining about some other incident that happen recently and that this means we need more regulations. No mention of Kenosha. No mention of a child having to defend himself against adult aggressors.

It's probably because all these political posts are copied from a handful of popular FB pages and Twitter accounts. So if those pages go quiet or change the subject you'll get radio silence. Your friends probably put about as much thought into them as someone here posting a 4chan screencap in a thread.

Of course politicians don't like getting blackmailed, but do the people even higher pulling their strings like having their blackmail material become useless? I also suspect this was a prominent reason for the gay rights movement, they were installed in high places because they were vulnerable to blackmail. Gay rights was a much easier sell than pedo rights, so it should be easy for the elite to make sure that chomos remain taboo and thus blackmailable.

Woke up this morning with an idea. A site called Rittenhouse Case Myths or something like that which is just a simple single-page site which starts with a paragraph-length description of what happened that day and then a list of oft-repeated mistruths, linked via floating table of contents, with sourced deboonkings based on trial testimony, public records, etc. I even started writing up a list of the myths to debunk. It'd all be in a Git repo so people could propose changes via issues and pull requests and such. Maybe even have a contact page which features some of the salty email I'd be sure to get. Eventually as I woke up more I realized writing this up would take a long time (and I'm fortunate to have almost more paid work in my inbox than I can handle at the moment), make me a target for extremists, and probably utterly fail to change anyone's mind. Still, here's what I had in my list so far, just in case someone else wants to do anything with it.

1. Rittenhouse killed two (or three) black men
2. Rittenhouse crossed state lines with his rifle
3. It was against Wisconsin state law for a 17-year-old like Rittenhouse to carry an AR-15 rifle
4. The full-metal jacket ammunition loaded into the AR-15 rifle was unusual or intentional
5. Rittenhouse had no connections to Kenosha, WI and no reason to be there
6. Rittenhouse went to Kenosha, WI for the sole reason of attending the “riot”
7. Rittenhouse fired aimlessly into a crowd
8. Rittenhouse had a duty to retreat before defending himself and did not do so
9. Rittenhouse’s mother drove him across state lines
10. The prosecution may be able to appeal their loss in the case
11. The AR-15 is an "assault rifle"
12. The AR-15 is a military-grade weapon
13. The AR-15 is a machine gun or a fully-automatic rifle
