As faggy as it sounds I will be forever appreciative of you for making this place where I can be goofy, laugh at other goofs, and occasionally have interesting conversations with other people whom our only connecting factor is laughing at one particular goof we found on this site. Rekieta is in a very different situation, I don't think its comparable at all. Rekieta isn't primarily known for running a very controversial website, he hasn't been slandered by mainstream media (to my knowledge anyway), his accounts on mainstream websites aren't constantly under attack, he doesn't have people attempting to sue him over nothing, etc.
Not to discount what Rekieta has done at all, but Nulls situation is quite unique.
I'm not sure bringing a family into things when you rely on direct donations and inconsistent merch sales is a great idea.

True but Nick didn't start off making $150k which was part of my point. I still think having a reason to get up and do the hustle other than "retards on the internet will yell at me because they can't talk about other retards on the internet" would do him a lot of good. I would still say that even if that means he'll one day hit the eject button while hollering "SMELL YA LATER NERDS". I also think that it's dangerous to look at something like a family as a financial burden. It can be, if your frame of reference is someone like the gunt. However if it's something like Nick has, just to use him as an example as we're already talking about him, then you have a group of people who love you, support you, comfort you, encourage you, and empower you. Again, I want Null to succeed and have purpose and I think this is the best way for him to find that. At the end of the day, however, it's his decision to make and I'm not so full of myself that I think I can bully him into it or have any influence.

When Nick started his family, he did so in anticipation of being able to support it through the legal profession. Null is practically unemployable due to his reputation and will be for the foreseeable future, so he can't have those kinds of expectations of financial stability.
He simply cannot support a family at this point, and no woman worth impregnating would have 3+ kids by someone who doesn't presently have a path to financial stability. In order to have a financially sustainable future, Josh would need to save more money, which the lawsuits are currently blocking him from doing.
Nick's situation is simply irrelevant to what Josh is experiencing.

Isn't he a real lawyer? I don't actually know much about him, but if so, he had a pretty decent backup if the youtube thing didn't work out.
I don't think families are a financial burden, but if I were to bring new people into the world, I would like to be reasonably sure that I could support them until they're old enough to support themselves. However that's my opinion, I can't speak for anybody else. I think a lot of people share that opinion though.

Ultimately none of us know Null personally, so we could spend all day making suggestions but there are always going to be many things we're unaware of. I'm sure he does want a family, and I'm sure there are reasons he isn't doing that right now. In fact, we don't know that he isn't pursuing it.

Nulls best bet is to try and get advertising for the site which is almost impossible. His best bet is doing something like 4chan does and allow people to buy ads that are approved by him maybe make it so people can put adds up in specific threads even?
His only other option for advertising is to try and get a direct advertisement but the amount of companies that would even consider it are basically non existant or null wouldn't want associated with the site

Null said before he didnt want to put up ads like ED had since most of the userbase traffic view at work so he would want SFW adds. I figure if you make it a approval system you could limit the malware and also be able to keep the adds SFW enough that people wont feel awkward browsing at work

How do you feel about the bar scene. I always thought that was one of the best tension set ups for a big pay off.
