Wikia / FANDOM - The ugly result of giving aspies control of their own wiki websites

Yeah, plus some originating from Dungeons and Dragons and the works of H. P. Lovecraft.
You mean like Beholders and Owlbears or something else? I can understand Lovecraft since his stuff is public domain, but aren't D&D exclusive creatures copyrighted? How'd they get away with that?

Kenkou Cross literally got Ropers, Beholders (just called Gazers in this) and Mindflayers as sexually devious girls to boot.

And no, we didn't get any Owlbear girls yet.

In Japan copyright law is a bit fluid. While fanworks such as doujinshi are in a legal grey area I don't think anyone has ever been successfully forced to stop using the likeness of official characters for pornography in Japan even though I would imagine many companies would rather they didn't. It's just too hard to get anything for it compared to somewhere with very permissive courts like America.

I remember that a lot of big name 80s and 90s animes and jrpgs had tons of blatant references, appearances and creatures from D&D, Star Trek and Star Wars (among others) but I always assumed that may have been due to the relative obscurity of anime at the time, so this stuff could fly under the radar.

Did the laws get more strict over time so only doujins could get away with it? IIRC didn't Goblin Slayer (a more recent series) also have a Beholder in it too?

Anyway it looks like the MGE wiki has an article about fucking Alice from Alice in Wonderland. That alone is probably the biggest red flag and why this wiki is getting shut down first among the MG wikis.

Not only that, we got the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Cheshire Cat, the Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar, Jabberwocky and the Jub-Jub bird as horny monster girls and we're yet to have the Queen of Hearts as a sex demon...

Honestly I have no idea if it could work today, but good luck being a gaijin suing a Japanese company in Japanese court. Though at least in the case of Star Wars Disney decided the better route would be to solicit paid fanworks from the Nip production studios because their animators and writers are more creative than anything corporate can come up with in the US (see: Star Wars Visions).

Yep its as bad as I thought.

But the Queen of Hearts, Hatter and Alice aren't even monsters in the story. How did they get wrapped into this?

From what I understand, KC has threatened suicide once someone posted some gore fanart on a forum and that he mainly doesn't have much of a drive to continually make new species or create an consistent narrative.

But it didn't stop people from making their own headcanons while he continually grasps at straws.

Holy crap, this is definitely bad to hear.

Really? I guess Japanese art spergs are just as spergy as ours. Though I got the impression from reading his "Deep Lore" on the wiki that the world is insanely fucked up because it's his fetish.

KC is the author of this stuff right? Was it gore art of his characters that drove him into a depression or were people threatening him and sending drawings of him getting mutilated?

So most of what's on the wiki is headcanon stuff?

Gore art of an character, he severed ties with that forum, and MGE became a banned topic due to the work of some edgelords.
So most of what's on the wiki is headcanon stuff?
There's around 200+ species of "varying levels of rape," a few dozen pages for specific regions and some history. Less than a dozen named characters that never really went anywhere.

...And there's hundreds, if not thousands of fanfiction threads/blogs.
Though I got the impression from reading his "Deep Lore" on the wiki that the world is insanely fucked up because it's his fetish.
If everything worked out the way it sounds like, humanity will go extinct due to the declining number of men being born. But hey, you got someone willing to fuck you.

So yeah, it's always been this stagnant.

So is it basically just straight-up porn material?
The monster girl stuff? From what I've seen of it, more or less. The whole concept of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia is basically "What if all these different types of monsters were sexy girls who behave similar to succubi?". So while a lot of the drawings probably aren't particularly more explicit than a girl in a skimpy swimsuit, pretty much any entry is going to be all about how that particular monster goes about seeking out sex.

The purge in general that they're doing? I get the impression that they're ultimately planning on going after anything that's NSFW and merely starting with the hentai and weird porn as an obvious starting place. This Sannse person said in their latest post "which include explicit sex and (very importantly) treat rape or other sexual assault as a normal and desired interaction. MG is the latest group of wikis I'm dealing with, it is not the first or the last.". So straight up porn with a particular focus on anything with rape.

However Sannse also says: "Type-Moon wiki is on the list but hasn't been assessed yet. I've got Fate/Stay night as a page that needs checking (along with others)."

Which is fairly insane given that the sex related stuff was a relatively minor part of just the original F/SN, to the point that it was edited out for a Playstation 2 release, and most versions of rerelease since then have done the same. So if their net is wide enough that Fate/Stay Night is on the list, they're likely going after anything that they've heard involves sex in any way. One wide enough that I wouldn't be surprised if the example of "other strongly sex-based content" they give in an older post on the subject would include a lot of fan service romcoms, or otherwise fan service heavy anime/manga that don't cross the line into actual hentai.

We'll see I guess.

Found another wiki that's migrated to Miraheze. So far, there's no announcements on it, yet.
So while a lot of the drawings probably aren't particularly more explicit than a girl in a skimpy swimsuit,
That problem is mainly over the fanart, considering how some of them had to be censored. But otherwise it's the occasional string bikini, followed by the loincloths & tribal sports, and then it's mostly stuff that's ironically modest.

But there was already a purge against the fetish wikis, a few months ago. As for what's next, it might be that H-game with the ninjas who wear those form-fitting suits.

Might be worth keeping an eye on, going by the image gallery.

Alice is a loli succubus, the Hatter is a Matango girl and the Queen of Hearts is supposedly a Lilim.
I mean they're not monsters or unique creatures in the Lewis Carol stories. One of them is just a kid ffs.

Anyway, I just realized something about this NSFW wiki ban; shouldn't the Game of Thrones wiki get the boot too (and possibly the Witcher wiki)? That's a highly sexual subject matter.

Like confronting Sannse why that wiki isn't getting targeted. It won't help the monster coomers and their doomed fetish wiki but it would be interesting to see if fandom staff answers hypocritically with a "rules for thee, not for me" response.

On the plus side it might even get the GoT consoomers banned from their wiki.

They even sometimes do that here. For instance, Nintendo paid off that porn company that did Super Hornio Brothers parody, buying the rights to the films rather than risk the publicity of a lawsuit, especially one with a reasonably good parody fair use defense.

Technically, yes. But GoT is mostly over rich, powerful manchildren trying to kill each other. Sure, there's nudity in it; but that isn't what the series is about.

And on a side note, the MGE wiki has been around since 2014.
