Wikia / FANDOM - The ugly result of giving aspies control of their own wiki websites

On the plus side it might even get the GoT consoomers banned from their wiki.
We can only hope, but that wiki probably attracts too much attention and positive ad revenue for Wikia even if its series and books have proven disappointing; so staff probably will just give a hypocritical response or make excuses for them. Which is a shame, but at least it would hopefully show more people how hypocritical Fandom / Wikia is and that wasting time making money for these people yields no rewards for yourself since the site's staff will turn on them at the drop of a hat if its convenient for them.

Well, Sannse is avoiding the questions and I'm having trouble updating the archives for the complete blogs. I tried it with the newest comment thread, since the site starts hiding replies if they past a certain threshold. And now some of the replies are too long to be rendered until you click on them, which something that you can't do in Archive even if you feed the comment's url to Archive.

But at any rate, it's nothing that we haven't seen before.

Found another wiki that's migrated to Miraheze. So far, there's no announcements on it, yet.

That problem is mainly over the fanart, considering how some of them had to be censored. But otherwise it's the occasional string bikini, followed by the loincloths & tribal sports, and then it's mostly stuff that's ironically modest.

But there was already a purge against the fetish wikis, a few months ago. As for what's next, it might be that H-game with the ninjas who wear those form-fitting suits.

Might be worth keeping an eye on, going by the image gallery.
Yeah, I don't know if Taimanin is next, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's on their list and doesn't survive simply by virtue of being an H-game.
I mean they're not monsters or unique creatures in the Lewis Carol stories. One of them is just a kid ffs.

Anyway, I just realized something about this NSFW wiki ban; shouldn't the Game of Thrones wiki get the boot too (and possibly the Witcher wiki)? That's a highly sexual subject matter.

Like confronting Sannse why that wiki isn't getting targeted. It won't help the monster coomers and their doomed fetish wiki but it would be interesting to see if fandom staff answers hypocritically with a "rules for thee, not for me" response.
For Alice, it makes more sense when you know that the Shin Megami Tensei series has Alice as a reoccurring enemy within the series that's a ghost or a demon depending on the circumstances. So that's likely where the MGE using Wonderland related stuff originates from. Once you get used to thinking of Alice as a monster type not a character, it's a short step to using other Wonderland characters in a similar manner.

As for Game of Thrones, it sounds like it won't be hit. The fuller statement from Sannse says in part:

To be clear, we are not removing all wikis that mention sex. For example, "Game of Thrones" and "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" both contain content that shows or mentions sex. But, in both cases the wiki isn't about sex; it isn't the purpose or the overall focus of the wiki or its topic. And the shows do not show the sexual content at a pornographic level.

Among the concerning themes in Monster Girl is its treatment of sexual assault. While this is a factor in shows like "Game of Thrones" or "Law and Order", it’s not a fundamental part of the storyline that requires coverage beyond passing references. It is a fundamental part of the Monster Girl wikis, which do not align with Fandom’s policies.
So they already have their rational for why GoT wouldn't have it's wiki removed.

I say that there should be a mutiny of Wikia's more "controversial" series. Wikia is now a fucking flaccid corporate inane pop consuum puppet aimed now at selling shit and promoting the most money intensive series by converting fans of other series through editorials, as seen here:

It used to be nice going there, but now as more dickless nerds want mod rights for.... I'm honestly not sure, are you able to get paid for wikia shit? Is that why the majority of them get all fucking butthurt over editing wars and "what's kosher for the wiki"? Do they get fucking ad rev drippings that their masters will they can have?

Anyhow, Wikia has proven to not be the go to for putting away autism of all sorts for sorting and providing information and literary digestion of series for a higher sense of appreciation than what most ego tripping jade eye lense implanted nerds like to say as "making it more than what it is". There needs to be a revival of fan websites though, that would be much nicer than having Wikia dominate the landscape.

Also, holy fucking dog shit Wikia, is that why your fucking site eats up bandwidth and made my comp nearly shit itself screenshotting this piece of dogshit? You deserve to fucking burn.

They've been doing stupid crap like this since maybe 2014, its sadly only now that more people started noticing their bullshit tactics and calling them out for it despite the writing being on the wall for a good while now. It was also around that time that they made some sort of deal with a marketing corp, and shit hole wikis like the Unofficial Disney Wiki suddenly dropped the "unofficial" in their name, then it and other big wikis like the WoW wiki, Wookieepedia, One Piece Wiki and Marvel Database were taken over by corporate editors that worked 24/7 non-stop and staff started enforcing more rules to better reflect the wants of the corporate overlords, and these same sites were all now allowed to be linked on Wikipedia despite that not being allowed before.

Also notice that a bunch of wikis that ran off to gamepedia years ago to get away from wikia are now forced to come back to that shit hole after the Fandom/Gamepedia merger. There's no escape from the monopoly.

So its not just me then?

So its not just me then?
Oh no, it's not just you. That page was a fucking mile long filled with shit links a meter wide to other shit articles, and that's me having an ad blocker on.

Sounds to me the funnest thing to do now is to buy a VPN and frequently troll and vandalize Wikia in Minecraft. I am very late to this party, but I am going to enjoy seeing Miraheze and others fight off this literal cancerous tumor.

That's probably what the boys at gamepedia said too when they first left... Maybe this new site will beat wikia as it implodes, or maybe it won't and get re-absorbed. Guess only time will tell, but I'm not seeing a good outcome. Only wikis that really seem to endure are the ones that went full independent like the Transformers wiki, but even that one got taken over by the troons fittingly enough.

But anyways, here's 50 pics of autism.

Triple posting because I don't want to risk fucking up the screenshots.

And if you have anything interesting to share from from the peanut gallery, today is probably your last chance to post it.
The guy who talks about how MGQ's rape fantasy made him happy with sex for the first time after being sodomized in childhood by a homosexual has to be the star there. That's some Grade A insanity right there.

Like I said, what gets purged and what doesn't will most likely depend on whatever gets the advertisers' panties in a twist.

Well, the MGE wiki got an extension that run into next month.

This banwave might be the last one that we'll see, for a while. Since all that'll be left that could be considered "problematic" is any anime that involves swimsuits or hot springs, shipping, fanfiction, and probably places like the Idea Wiki (which is where autists shill their crossovers and insist that'll happen, and it's a drama magnet).

As much as I hate wiki-fandom, I personally would love to see all the fanfiction/fanon wikis get the banwave since they're the biggest magnets of autism on all of wikia. And places like the Digimon and the Avatar the Last Airbender wikis are both practically fused with their fanfiction wikis, so seeing half of their site's contents go would cause quite an amusing and massive shitstorm considering the size of their fanbases.
So all of them?
Eventually. Its all about what the investors want, so I expect that every anime wiki that's not about a big franchise and doesn't have a live-action or a netflix adaptation will eventually get the boot. The anime-half of the Pokemon wiki, Cowboy Bebop, Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Death Note, Attack on Titan, Inuyasha, etc are the most obvious examples I can name off the top of my head (they make money, have strong western affiliates and investors, are recognized franchises, etc) and will undoubtedly be spared (despite Doraemon's questionable... well you know, so that'd be another example of hypocrisy) but I expect staff to eventually force them to treat the live-action adaptations, or whatever new productions get made in the future, as the primary canons and put less focus on the originals. Much like they've done with other trending wikis. Or shove a bunch of youtuber videos they have a deal with into the articles to poorly explain what the subject is about like they've done on the One Piece and Bebop wikis.

Found this on the Lupin wiki.

All their cited references don't even come from official sources, just random tumblr posts and tweets by yaoi fags.
They also use an obvious joke from a foreign dub as some kind of proof that he's queer and to also prove that he's not a "misogynist".

SMH I see more and more "queer speculation" stuff like this on wikis every time I get linked to them despite that they normally frowned on using fan sources. The Samurai Jack had a few of these kinds of references too back when the show's 5th season aired and got trendy, then all mysteriously disappeared after Jack boned Ashi.
A lesbian tries to get into the MGE, gets BTFO'd by being told that the monsters are generally into men. And the heckler was pressured into apologizing to her.

Forum noise aside, that wiki is scheduled to be closed on December 13th and some madlad is archiving all of the comments from the articles.
I like how they force him to apologize despite that it looks like he's simply following the established rules of his horny setting.

Apparently these things can only eat men's souls or soul energy to live, so lesbians would make them die from hunger? I guess once again feels trump facts (even if it is a freaky coomer fantasy setting the point still stands).

Contains lethal amounts of salt.
Lesbian or [Lesbian]?
I'm assuming wannabe rug-muncher.

Basically, yes; but their fanfiction about the entries generally ignores a few rules to fit their fantasies.

But then again, nobody really cares about how it works as long as they can get off to it.
