I also might have been asleep during the formation of the timeline, but TIL that Kyle first heard the "If I catch you alone I'll fucking kill you," (as testified by Ryan Balch), and then later he heard "Motherfucking niggers I'll fucking cut your hearts out," as testified by Grambo. I thought only Grambo had heard that.

Also what was thought to be Kyle clearing a malfunction or recharging his rifle was actually him punching the forward assist to get the bolt back into battery.

The talk did feel very scripted (most noticeable when he corrects himself to say a bigger word or make a soundbyte), but what isn't these days. He sounded most genuine when he talked about his Super 8 prison cell.

People usually have their idealism slowly choked in their 20s, Kyle had his brutally murdered in a year.

The issue isn't whether the defendant in a case like this was a magical mind reader and actually knew what was in the mind of a screaming freak who had repeatedly threatened to murder him, and was now trying to wrest his gun away from him, at which point he would no longer have been "unarmed," he would be a guy who had been screaming death threats much of the day and was now the only one with a gun.

The issue is what a reasonable person would believe under those circumstances. A reasonable person would believe this psycho was about to murder them if they did nothing to stop it.

And Cuomo fucking well knows that.

I actually thought that Kyle was in good hands at first when Lin Wood got involved too, knowing nothing about him other than that he was the one who helped Richard Jewell clear his name. I hope if the post election schizoid behavior didn't do it that now at least everyone recognizes Wood and Pierce for the worthless grifters that they are.

Of course he didn't. This is the sort of shit that politicians make up their minds ahead of time what outcome they'd prefer, and delegate it to their staff to prepare appropriate statements for whatever outcome. Then some intern gets the job of checking news coverage and maybe watching a bit of the trial itself in case they need to update any talking points in their prepared statements. Biden, Kamala, virtually all Congressmen, and all those celebrities, none of them actually watched the trial or even followed decent news coverage of it. Their decisions of what outcome they wanted and what outcome would make them angry were made ahead of time.
