A quiet night for our piglet on twitter, just retweets of political nonsense. Someone over on the other forum found another 'tough guy Pat' story that Pat tweeted out in 2017, thought I might post it here for those that enjoy cringe.

Pat was 37 when he tweeted this story out. What a fucking mess of a human being he is.

Okay I read the rest of Pat’s trilogy because it’s the holidays and I was bored and wanted to see if it showed how much his writing declined in quality. As a disclaimer hell no I didn’t buy this shit my local library has them to borrow as ebooks.

So The Ark was the novel Pat always wanted to write and it shows some competence in it. It isn’t good but like I said it was inoffensive no glaring scientific stupidity a layman could catch, no witty references to modern day politics, and the characters were developed enough to call them human and I can see people investing in them.
The other two books in the trilogy came about not as something Pat had planned on but apparently the publisher wanted and it shows. The second book is okay except the plot is pretty much a rehash of the original book and there’s aliens in it who have three different types of genders so enjoy reading the pronoun zer 9000 times. There is a lot less subtlety in this book than the Ark and within three chapters you basically get what is going to happen and who the bad guys are. It is okay just not as developed as the previous book if you care about the characters you’ll be okay with this one as a follow up because well it’s more of the same from them with one or two more.

The third book, hoo boy this is where Pat goes off the rails. He time jumps the plot 15 years so there are new characters we follow and boy were they not developed. The whole third book Children of the Divide is more like half a book and reads like something Pat wanted to flesh out more but just ends it halfway through. There really isn’t much tension to what happens because unlike the first two where the characters do have obstacles to fight that feel tangible and threatening, in this one you feel kind of sorry for the bad guys because you know they are just mooks about to get stomped. This goes to the fact that Pat does not develop his bad guys much there is no showing their competency or motivations really. In the first book it was about how a group of people believed humanity was bringing doom and destruction to another planet and so to protect that planet the antagonists decide to destroy the colony ship. Thing is not every cultists knows this they think they are doing it to overthrow the regime. A bit basic but structured and effort was put into it. They even have the motivation that the ship’s crew has lied to the colonists and hid the fact the planet they are going to has sentient life of bronze age fish people. So there are layers to work with and concepts the reader can understand.
The third book doesn’t do this much it just throws out a couple of surface level issues and makes bad guys out of it. And it’s scifi plot is they find an old observation post on the moon that doesn’t belong to their aliens so who built it? Can’t tell you because all it is used for is to find where one of the characters has been kidnapped. Now it does bring up some interesting issues it just doesn’t follow them anywhere and again this is because the whole thing is resolved and done before it should be. It feels like the plot should be part of a larger book and even ends on a cliffhanger that would be perfect for the second half of a full novel. Instead it relies on you giving a fuck about the previous works to read through this one and leaves nothing resolved or investments given fruit. Still nothing horrible but any good parts of the previous two books are not here leaving the whole thing a waste of the paper it is printed on.

So that’s my reviews of the trilogy Pat wrote. Some talent that could have been developed but at best he would just be one of a million 2nd or 3rd tier authors writing scifi to a fanbased of thousands worldwide. But he didn’t develop it and it degrades into unfinished works that waste your time or shit like Starship Repo that is actually an insult to read.

Apparently just FYI Pat helped cowrite a series with another author back in the early 2010s called the Wererat Trilogy and he wrote his own fantasy novel called The Sword From The Sky. I will let others read that shit I am afraid it will have more multiple genders and I’ll have to read Zer and zey again. Fuck. That.

I am probably not going to read that book since it seems out of print and hard to find. Even the publisher is defunct in a hilarious turn because they were a popular ebook publisher till it was found out they were not paying their authors and somehow losing money during a big surge in ebook sales apparently because of overpricing and amazon fuckery. Also I learned there is a con called Romanticon and now I know where to go to pick up homely middle aged winos. Also I’m pretty sure the author is dead.

Pat's about ten more years of heavy drinking away from being the erratic asshole who gets kicked out of every bar he enters, by bouncers or patrons. More than now, even.

So take this with a pound of salt but as I was googling that damn romance novel I found this fake news site that made a lot of claims about Pat’s first marriage.

It claims that his first marriage dissolved after he started heavily using drugs and alcohol and verbally abusing his wife. They lived in a duplex with the guy Jon and his dad was the landlord. Thanks to Jon she was able to get out of the marriage and because he was broke he couldn’t find a lawyer to fight for custody so he just gave it up.
I don’t know who wrote this or the accuracy of it but it is plausible that the abusive manchild with a drinking problem was an abusive manchild with a drinking problem to his pregnant wife.

Yeah this is just gossip none of it’s verified I’m removing the link.

I remember Jeff Tiedrich. He would always reply to Trump's tweets, adding nothing of any form of substance or dialogue. And yet he's less pathetic than Patrick.
After Trump got banned he had the funniest tweet he's ever made before or since. "I.. I don't know what i'm gonna do now" or something like that heh.

I remember Louise Mensch real well.

She was one of the loudest people who pushed the Trump-Russia conspiracy back in the day. I agree, she is a lolcow.
Judging by some of her Tweets she is mentally unwell, severely paranoid and delusional. Rick has his problems, but not of that sort.

And that man's name...

Was Rick Thomlinson.

Tough Guy Pat really is a fascinating concept to analyze from a psychological standpoint. Little kids are known for being naive and gullible - you can lie to them about Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, that professional wrestling is real. But we all grow up, lose that childhood naivety and gain the ability to sniff out other people's bullshit. We also train ourselves to come up with believable lies, out of a basic respect to the person we're lying to. You can't call in sick to work with a broken arm, but you can lie and say you had a nasty case of food poisoning.

He'll write these stories (same exact plot in every single story) for his fans/followers... thinking they're stupid and naive children who will happily believe every word. These idiot rubes will believe whatever I tell them. Which again ties into the larger issue of Patrick believing he is the only adult in a world full of children.

Nobody respects Milli Vanilli. Nobody respects Carlos Mencia. The author who went on Oprah with that book about what a craaaaaazy time he had in rehab. That dude from The League that said he narrowly escaped the Towers on 9/11. Everyone with stolen valor. It takes a special breed of narcissist to come up with these tall tales under the guise of I'm so smart, the rest of the world is so stupid, of course I can trick them all. And once you're exposed as the phony liar you are, nobody's packing arenas to hear you lip sync "Girl You Know It's True".

It really makes you wonder what percentage of his "following" actually believe he's an intimidating badass who pwns Nazis IRL all the fucking time versus the ones who know he's full of shit but coddle his fragile ego by not calling him out. The same way you'd coddle your 4-year-old niece if she tells you she saw a unicorn at the zoo.

Good ol' Technicality Tomlinson. He's been to one march: the whitest BLM march ever. Rick loves living in the most segregated city in the United States.

He smugly records cars driving by his half-house and counts it as attending a protest (this was shot when Covid restrictions were bad because Trump was in office).

He still uses these prevarications to pile bald-face lies upon, of course:

None of them probably do. They just like him because he agrees with their opinions. I am sure even Pat doesn't even buy into his bullshit. He is just so terribly incapable of taking any form of an L that he has to ramp up the tough guy act to the most extreme measures.

Like the millions of other internet tough guys who came before him, he'll eventually fold when he finds himself in a situation where he has to back up his persona in real life.

Pat must read this thread, he's decided out of nowhere to try and justify his silence cowardice on not talking about the Waukesha spree killer.

If the driver had been a white guy in a Trump hat, Pat would have tweeted about it at least one hundred times by now. He doesn't care about tragedies that don't fit his narrative of 'republicans bad'.
