Outside of his usual lack of self awareness, he has no idea what people think. He claims to have suffered through it but he barely played the fucking thing. At least LTG played the game for most of its life. Also he didn't stay away from SF since he kept playing the anniversary collection for years,

Also with SFV being a commercial success and a competitive giant, why would it make any radical changes that would please dinosaurs like him.

Also he hated playing sf4 since he only played it online and supposedly kept dropping his inputs. Speaking of online, he wouldn't want to play a hypothetical sf6 because it's most likely to have rollback netcode which he hates.

SF5 has rollback, but not GGPO. SF6 will have it. I attribute this to the success of Guilty Gear Strive, whose netcode changed the game for fighting games, if not video games as a whole. No longer will lag affect matches. It also helps that GGPO is open sourced, so it has gone to games that never had online capability in the first place, such as Super Smash Brothers Melee and the Megaman Battle Network series, or to games that didn't have GGPO rollback in the first place, such as Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax: Ignition.

Why doesn't anyone contact DDM how his restreams went to shit? His mods are stupid. Put on music during begments, turn off clips during rants. Do they think people come there for the gameplay?

The people that are at DDM seem to mostly be regulars, and that requires some slow-in-the-minds to start with. Similar to Phil's own chat, you can only listen to his daily begging and canned speeches so many times without tuning out.

My favorite part about that is that no one fucking cares what DSP has to say about fighting games. Nobody. He is known for his 4th place win on a shitty port nobody uses, getting eliminated by Tokido at that same EVO (and being thoroughly DSP about it), making up wins at tournaments nobody can confirm, making up excuses when he loses (which never make any sense), being the guy who dodged SFV and therefore has no business talking about it at all, getting perfected in SF4 and calling his opponent a cheater, showing some of the worst sportsmanship ever in every single fighting game video he has posted, and so many other things that disqualify him that I'm not going to bother because you get the picture.

Phil knows all of this and ignores it because 1) he's stupid and 2) he thinks other people are stupid enough to give him what he wants and disregard all the reasons why he's deservedly irrelevant. He's also probably gearing up for using SF6 to save his stream, even though the only way that will happen is if he keeps playing online once all the noobs have surpassed him in skill. Which we know he won't, because he has a well established pattern of ducking out after he can no longer curb-stomp people who don't know what they're doing.

Which is what makes his claims about being good at chess back in the day utterly laughable. I'm sure he stopped playing his classmates, but not because of them being too easy to beat. It was because the teacher would let him win, and they didn't. Phil has NEVER shown any enjoyment of a challenge, only enjoyment of easy victories. And getting lucky. The idea that he got bored of beating his classmates all day is as ridiculous as his facial hair. There's nothing I could picture him being more ecstatic about. Except gambling.

For shits and giggles I went to see how much a full course dinner would cost at a swanky restaurant. Since I know nothing about fine dining I just looked up one of the more prestigious restaurants owned by a celebrity chef. A standard full course dinner at Gordon Ramsay's at Royal Hospital Road costs 140 pounds, which is around 190 dollars. Still cheaper than Phil's upcoming prison food-tier "feast."

Week 1 of Street Fighter 6:
Two full days of playing the story mode "if there is any" proceeded by half a stream of Phil mashing out combos against the training CPU for online. Phil breezes through the bronze players because nobody uses throws and will do shitty jumpins that are easily punished.
Week 2:
Phil reaches the silver players and starts to struggle. The game is now suddenly very shitty and is as bad or worse than SF5. If he gets lots of $$$, proceed to Week 3. If not, game is dropped

The only reason he got any traction as an "authority" was because most of the fgc weren't garnering an audience of "normies" like Phil was, so no one knew better. However once the fgc started to see personalities come through, special mention of max dood, who gave a more positive face for the genre.

As his Tekken 3 trophy shows, he hasn't let go of his "accomplishments" during his time in the fgc and he still believes he's relevent to the scene. But in reality he isn't even remembered for his time in the fgc but only for choking a smurf live on YouTube.

He really needs to give up on the idea that a single game will save him. Not only has it failed him every time this year alone, it makes no sense for it to happen. There isn't a game he could play day one that won't have 1000s of other people playing it on stream and most will have had early streams from respectable streamers. It's also more true for SF where it'll have real fgc personalities, like max or punk playing it long before he'll ever get a look in (I'd argue that LTG would have an easier time than DSP since he at least takes part in the scene while Phil hasn't seen a human that wasn't paid to be there since 2017).

I wish there was some type of program like "Scared Straight" for streamers. Where they get all their tip, subs, ad revenue taken away because they keep trashing the developers and have to go to a game studio to see what it takes to make the game they are leeching a living off of.

All it'd take is for a copyright holder to file a lawsuit against a streamer like him for it to happen, especially with the licensed music.

For all of his bluster, he forgets that his entire business model is in a legal grey area and could easily be toppled when he isn't looking.
