Rough and shitty play-by-play:
Ethan opens with "It uh, looks like self-defense *looks around nervously*...arguably self-defense...the part where Kyle's guilty is where he went to a protest that had nothing to do with him, armed, and created an unsafe situation... you go there with a gun, what the fuck do you expect to happen... knowing that he would get into a gunfight."
Bearded staffer: "only two people died that night and they were both caused by him. If he went to give help he failed"
Then Ethan actually goes into how Rosenbalm was off his meds and charged him (I'm surprised) but then says the other two were now acting in self-defense (Huber and Gaige) as they thought there was an active shooter...and what they are doing is going to be perceived as heroic and brave because they are attempting to stop an active shooter.
He then rambles about how Kyle created this horrible situation and still should be charged with manslaughter. The issue is that he created the situation and should be guilty of manslaughter. He's then (presumably reading chat?) says "if you think this is a bad take call me right now and debate me"
Ethan: "That's my take bro, no way was he going to get locked up"
His cohosts/team continue to chime in with shit takes around how self-defense doesn't mean innocent. Surprisingly again, Ethan chomps back at the bearded dude (when the fuck did this podcast become a team of multiple soys?) and says that Kyle has a very good argument for self-defense - going over how Kyle was chased down and was yelling "friendly friendly".
He quickly goes back to calling the other people who tried to stop Kyle "heroes" as they, in his mind, were trying to stop an active shooter. "He is responsible for this situation occurring"
Soy-staffer: "If Kyle had a medkit and not a gun, nobody would have gotten hurt"
Ethan: "Someone disagree with me I fucking dare you"
Now we get 2 full minutes of boring nothingness.
Bearded guy starts talking about the case and before he can get a full sentence out, Ethan interrupts him "I have to stop you there, I'm very clear on what happened as I've been trying to form an opinion.
He then gets a detail wrong saying that Gaige did not point the gun at him and the Bearded dude corrects him saying that was in the trial.
Ethan fires back saying "no, I've watched the whole trial. He's saying he had the handgun and was running towards him, but put his hands in the air and then Kyle shot him in the fucking arm."
Bearded dude: "...no..you want to get this fucking right. He pointed the gun at him. The guy himself said it and you can see it in the video."
Ethan: "oh well okay, there you go."
Ethan: "He heard gunshots, went running towards it... you know what who cares" *Ethan goes silent as being proven wrong moments after stating he is very clear and watched the whole trial gets key facts wrong"
Bearded dude: "...not good"
Ethan, staring at chat: "Somebody disagree with me I'm looking for an anybody"
They then have 30 seconds of silence Ethan he mumbles to himself and reads chat.
Bearded dude, filling dead air: "This is too heavy for H3TV man let's jus-"
Ethan: "Who cares, I'm not going to do the show."
Bearded dude: "Oh, are we going to end the show?"
Ethan: "I mean, the foods here..."
Fade to black.
I want my time back.
Seriously, this is embarrassing. The constant pleading for chat to disagree with him as he knows he has no content just rambling at a void and wants to engage in fighting as a way to fill time. The constant "who cares" when he is wrong or even challenged on any of his stances - why would anybody want to disagree or debate you when you treat your own show like garbage? Claiming that he knows everything about the case, watched the full trial, and then immediately gets things wrong. When he's corrected, it goes back to "who cares". This isn't even touching the bad takes or constant twitching while looking like an absolutely exceptional individual.
What the fuck happened to you Ethan. How is anybody unironically consuming this? 12 minutes of garbage and nothing of value was added.
