Hololive showing once again they run the vtuber show. 250 fucking thousand subs in a matter of hours. Sana seething

The whole operation was kept so secret not even holomems knew about this. The heist type of presentation seems well choreographed, from the lore to the representation on twitter. Hololive for once doing things right.

YMD is obviously a troupe that's loved by Japs but it seems to me the EOP weebs are into it as well.

Laplus not showing a slight drop of nervousness was quite impressive as well. Even when she had a small stutter she brushed it off and continued like nothing. Quite the entertainer, I imagine the roommate being someone not new to audiences at all.

My pet theory is that it's not a surprise the two in Hololive with the lowest subs are the ones with both thick accents and "interesting" design choices (weird orange Zelda sword and shied and gigantic open mouth expression, gyaru dark skin, dango hair clips and mosquito coil antennae).

IIRC they had a crowdfunding campaign around last year for a fully animated MV, but the manager pulled the plug when he realized that it took too much work.
Firing Salla R and replacing the channel was basically the manager's way of saying to Salla R's fans that this was his channel, and he can do what he pleases with it.

Dude never even refunded the money he took.

either way she streams a lot, lotta 2x a day stream, and should take a break.

Yeah, in just a really short time (just half a day!) the new gen took the attention of everyone. And YMD is shown to be good as a streamer as well. I have high hopes for this gen now

Yea, I basically came to the same conclusion a few months back. And IMO it's less actual racism, and more SJW sensibilities of 'harmful stereotypes'. See below.

Talked about this a long time ago, but I think I would really like her content cause I prefer to watch long JRPG games but I learned the reason I cant stand to watch is cause of the accent. It just pokes some autistic part of my brain in a bad way.

I cant even watch that, someone sent me a link a while back to some of her other content and I still couldn't make myself sit there and listen for more than a min. I've not watched more than clips of any steam with her in it including the TTRPG streams.

They must have known something was up. There is a company wide streaming ban for every debut. So there must have been something like an email to everyone: "Don't schedule streams between 9pm and 10pm for all 5 days from 26.11. till 30.11."



Could someone JP culture inclined enlighten me what "Yamada" menas?

Edit: I know the Yes My Dark= YMD, I was only confused about the jump to yamada, so it's literally just because it's a common name and can be abbreviated to ymd? Crazy island people...

The voice is what filters me too, I wish she would just use her normal one, it is miles better.

What's her gimmick again? is she a forgetful, smug, hyper or chill? she's generic aussie broad. maybe she's not growing because she's not as notable.

Pretty sure it's in that it's a common JP family name that lends to the comedy. Someone more familiar with the language would have to give more info (just an EOP weeb)

She's black. Thats her gimmick. Otherwise generic aussie voiced vtuber. Nothing notable.

Im boo'd for speaking the truth. She has got nothing else going for her and the numbers reflect that.
