But again this effect will likely wear off with time as long as you decline the booster. Delta was discovered this time last year before the vaccines even launched in most countries but after they'd been ordered and paid for. They knew the vaccines didn't work anyway and there was no financial incentive to change it.

Now even normies are realising they were taken for fools and nothing they were promised for getting their shots has been delivered, only the most devout cultists are jumping at the chance for a third dose so maybe they think changing it and promising it'll work this time will increase uptake. On the other hand, plenty of governments are forcing people to take third doses of the old, useless vaccines anyway.

My guess is that maybe there might have been issues with overlapping spike protein similarities between the original Wuhan type and Delta? Maybe this Nu-variant is different enough to trigger a brand-new antibody response from the body?

So far, the answer is "a lot". It's slave morality and ethics at work. Everyone is either compliant with it because they agree with it, or in the case of "get the jab or lose your job", very few are willing to walk away. I don't blame the second group, it's easy to say "walk away" when it's not my livelihood and the ability to eat and have a roof over my head at risk, but that imo is what needs to happen more. We saw it with one of those Airlines that suddenly discovered that none of their pilots were going to follow their decision and were quite willing to risk it, and basically fucked them hard for a week.
