Tissue expanders are placed adjacent to the surgical site, and Jazz already nixed the suggestion; besides, pretty sure he's done with those surgeries. That's just plain old fat.

But Jazzs’ fat proportions are extremely irregular.
Everything going into his surgery was experimental…. Which isn’t too far-fetched to think they’re using his abdominal area to create more skin.

The reason there's nothing else to say about Debbie and the thread collectively eyerolls at her being mentioned is, imo, because there's no new material. Jazz is fat, mom and family are complicit, yada yada, that stuff isn't new either but there's always more examples of it and more fodder for speculation. Debbie isn't around so there's nothing more to say that hasn't already been said. Honestly we might as well assign blame to "unnamed family member 1" "unnamed family member 2" and so on, because who knows who else pushed this shit, but there's also nothing more to say about them, because they aren't on the show.
So when I thought for a moment that tie-dye lady was Debbie, I was like FUCK YEAH, FINALLY. I want to see how she would act toward Jazz and the family (phone auto completed to "folly," lol) at this point. I want to see if she's horrified with herself on any level. Unless she comes on though, there's not much to say about her that hasn't already been said.
Otoh, "family members who aren't on the show" can be an interesting thing to consider in general and to an extent. For instance, I assume most fall into the following categories:
1. They don't want to be on the show because of their job, they're shy, they think it's trashy, etc.
2. They don't want to be on the show because they find Jeanette and family to be obnoxious assholes
3. The producers aren't interested in putting them on the show because they don't add anything to the narrative, dull, bad on camera, waste of time/money (probably the case with most, since it's the case with most people in general)
4. They don't want to be on the show because they think the whole public trooning thing is terrible and want nothing to do with that.
I'd kill to be a fly on the wall in the homes of the family members who fit into #2 and #4. I bet more than a few people in the extended family hate-watch the show with horror and popcorn.

Cartiledge also just thickens over time as part of the aging process, leading to older people (both women and men) having raspier voices and stiffer joints. The greatest enemy of troondom seems to be the inexorable forward march of time.
A really alarming and depressing explanation for a huskier voice could be throwing up after binge eating.
