Not happening in a million years iirc Nyanners and Melody were the first that went ballistic against the Vtweeters when the great culling of Off with their heads happened, defending Hololive and telling those fucks to shove it or debut already
you gotta make up your mind, either the networking effect doesn't for holostars or they get automatically fuck you money just from being part of hololive (less mentioned, but still).I mean, Holostars's problem is mostly that they aren't treated as a part of Hololive by management. They're run by the same company and are listed on the same website, but that's about it. Hololive big events, concerts, promos, collabs, etc do not include Holostars members. They have very minimal interaction with Hololive members (a few comments here and there and occasional collabs aren't much), and Hololive fans have no real impetus to ever check them out. Meanwhile Omega has a silver play button, something most vtubers can only dream of, despite having zero content on Youtube and essentially being a corpo vtweeter.
...
In any case, it's kind of a silly discussion, since it is true that being in Hololive does mean that you'll get tens to hundreds of thousands of subs from people who don't know a single thing about you and may not even watch you that much but will click the subscribe button anyways, and it is also true that Hololive is not easy go get into.
imho that's a zoomer take. there's more to a male streamer than MLGPRO420 or apex. collabs alone will carry them far, just look at any demon/fubuking collab. after that people will stay for the same reason they stay with the main branch, they enjoy the content. the main problem is getting to know them and getting used to said content first, which is why collabs are so important. I'd argue hololive's in-focus and coherence is a large aspect of their success - you're not starting to watch someone you never heard of and takes time way from your oshi. now someone who makes your oshi laugh and flustered otoh... (unless you're fan of NTR or get burning jealousy, but then you'd need take a step back for self-reflection anyway). The only way holostars gets big is if you get pro gamers and that might be tough because pro gamers are perfectly successful on their own
several of the top male vtubers are just APEX autists
I think something like a fighting games gen with all their designs being fighting game character styled might do more for them, at least in the west
also feels like one of the most popular genres for viewing that they rarely touch outside of the occasional game of smash
people shit on kaichou's raunchy content (implying she's fucking vshojo tier, gotta sayThe stream start and the prof is unexpectedly cordial and receptive. Then she suddenly mention Kiryu Coco lmao. Not that she refer to Kson as Coco, but it does give chat a bit of panic. Wonder if Cover will consider this a break in NDA (probably not).
Edit : Stream end. It turn out to be more like Kson calling the professor to address the public worry caused by Twitch Thot who begging/threaten chat for money or those person that "I DONATE X AMOUNT TO MAKE STREAMER DO X!!!". So I guess in a way it's a move in the direction of shifting public opinion about superchat/streaming. Still, overall a unique and interesting stream, if not particularly note-worthy.

most actual fans probably now holostars by now, not to mention even holoEN did collab with them in form of bae which is the latest EN gen, not some jp gen 0 which work differently. wouldn't be surprised if it increases slowly from now on. you gotta get the simps used to their oshi being around penis-havers, then at a certain point they can integrate them into the main branch with much less blowback.
she bans if you say the kissing is odd or fucking weird. i mean chat goes "fuck off tourist" and then she says "fuck off tourist" and then she bans you from chat.. she seemed like a regular online gal during the pippa stream and the one stream i caught after. so what happened between then and last week or when i walked into the "i love my husband kiss kiss"? Her cancellation?A couple weeks ago, I tuned into her stream during a GFE part. It was unnerving. She would make kissy noises and talk about your life together. Gave detailed explanations on how you should cuddle together. The chat was full on into it too. The whole thing made me uncomfortable and so I exited the tab. I just figured it wasn't for me since I don't like that type of asmr stuff either. Reading all your posts about her streams now makes me glad that I ain't the only one who got some bizarre vibes from her stream.
I believe all those people are legitimately into it. it's only a small group of people. chat reflects the streamer. she's a friendless neet right? Its fucking disturbing to me the fact that NOBODY there finds it weird. Not a single post about it being weird in that chat. Its fucking 4chan, surely somebody even just trolling would come in and call it gay shit or something but nothing. They all go along with it.
Translated here, where she joke about live2d models cant move their armsGuess the Mask stays on. I'm guessing a 2nd outfit will probably have a mask-on mask-off variant.
Moving forward
After some much needed rest I wanted to put out a statement on what occurred over the past few days. I am still new to this whole content creation world and I oftentimes forget that being open about feelings can bring about situations that can become very volatile. I for one would like to apologize for expressing myself publicly. It was never my intention to rile anyone up from my community. I am sorry if I alarmed any of you and placed you in an uncomfortable position to feel the need to have to speak up on my behalf. I would like to further reflect upon this moment and take it as an opportunity on how to better resolve conflict privately. There was a lot of confusion and misunderstanding coming from multiple directions. I do not condone bullying or targeted harassment and I would like to extend an apology to nux I have no ill will towards him and I hope we can all move forward from all this. I wish nothing but peace and safety for this community.
Yeah. I think the farms and /vt/ can kinda give people the impression that VShojo and Hololive are at war or something, when in general VShojo talents tend to like Hololive and the fanbases have a ton of overlap. Most VShojo fans are Hololive fans, and I'd imagine if you polled English-speaking Hololive fans about who they watch outside of Hololive (if any), VShojo would probably be the top pick. People here just don't like VShojo and like to imagine some war between them and Hololive lol.
At least she publicly apologized. Have any of the others or just "we apologized privately for the situation we made VERY public"So mouse posted her response to all this Nux vs Vshojo shit heap

Dude…no. Just no.Kiara liking Vshojo is the same reason she ends up getting humped by a creep in a wrestling ring
Maybe its due to setting appointments and what to collab on that actually drains her.She feels it's helped but it's still really draining to interact with people and she has trouble asking for collabs due to it.
