So I had a great great Aunt who didn't have any interest in marrying any of the local bachelors, but great-great grandmother wouldn't shut up about her ending up an old maid. So out of spite she found a Cherokee (from my understanding, an actual red-indian and not just some irish guy from appalachia) and married him to scandalize the family.
