Youtube decided to recommend me this pile of shit again
The channel isn't strictly about history, but a lot of the videos are as the maker has taught history in school
Of course as typical of history teachers there's a lot of wild claims being thrown around. For example Jordan Peterson gets accused of nazi dog whistling by using his experience in psychology to infer that Hitler had a obsession with cleanliness, and that it didn't take much to go from wanting to clean the streets to seeking to cleanse society. For some reason Knowing Better thinks this is making excuses for the holocaust and puts it in the same category as holocaust denial. This is what happens when you got ideologues talking about history.
He also makes a lot of wrong statements like claiming that the Auschwitz prisoner orchestra stemmed from the other prisoners at the camp, like the political prisoners, and were not connected to the victims of the jewish extermination. But this is just blatantly false as the orchestra was all jewish, instead the correct statement would be that the orchestra was the result of the early years of the camp before people started dying on mass, but I guess one doesn't want to approach the issue this way as it opens up for discussion of why and how the concentration camps went from having leisure activities and temporary release even for jewish prisoners to mass casualties
The video is from 2018 so you could probably see it as a product of the mass hysteria about nazis around the time because of the events in Charleston Virginia
