i'm not real keen on either one of them done privately. i'm also pretty certain that there aren't any cultures that eat people as a regular part of their diet any more, if there ever were. cannibalism was most often practiced by warriors who ate their vanquished enemies, followed by things like the donner party and the plane that crashed in the andes.

Wrong, Tom. The Fore and Korowai people of Papua New Guinea are both documented as practicing cannibalism in modern times. Obviously there is a ritualized aspect to it (the Fore actually consume deceased relatives), but the practice is prevalent enough that it has led to the spread of a prion disease called kuru among them. Australian missionaries among other groups from about the 1950's have helped greatly reduce the practice thought, which I think we can all agree is definitely a net benifit.

For an indigenous rights activist you sure are missing a lot of knowledge, Tom.

The specific context was that you claimed cannibalism was a crime everywhere, and that it didn't happen regularly anywhere. With the Fore, it happens regularly. It may not be with every meal, and it may be a ritualized function, but it's not a rare one off thing. Stop fucking lying, Tom.
