It's been rather blatantly obvious, going back to Jim's earliest escapist days that he was both an Exibitionist and suffered rather blatantly from a Sexual Submission/Humiliation fetish. Disney put out an awful new Home Alone movie, and nobody likes it. Macaully Culkin's replacement has been described as a "pudgy, smug little British shit". And you know what? Look at him:

It looks like they snatched Jim right out of his childhood. He has Jim levels of charisma, too. Apparently a lot of the film's reviewers were rooting for the crooks this time around. I would be too, because all I can see there is a little Jim Sterling.

You can see this process in Jim. He's getting older, his life is no longer moving forward. He's lost momentum and the things that were charming on youth (passion, chaotic energy hot takes and dumb opinions) don't look good on a middle aged man. People don't like it on middle aged people, because it correctly indicates the person has not matured and thus cannot be trusted with responsibility. A grown up would reflect and realise it's time to adjust course. Focus on family and self improvement and long term goals form. This takes effort. It's work. People like Jim recognise that they want that, but don't want to do the work. They instead blame external factors for their failings. They become resentful. That's when ideological creep happens. Jim is not a full convert yet, in my opinion. But he could be. If he doesn't take control of his life.

But jim instead has turned himself into an avatar of identity politics, obsessively talking about class politics and repulsing people from class politics as a result and driving them deeper into uncritical escapist content. Hallmark network made a knock-off in 2018 called Christmas Break-in. Danny Glover is in it as a school janitor/music teacher, and the 9-year old white girl who's the star fails to get picked up from her Alaskan(?) school by her parents overworking, and the school is broken into by a trio of bumbling thieves on the day X-Mas break starts to steal fundraiser money. Booby traps and hi-jinks ensue, I hated it.

Okay, something feels kind of fucky here.

For the past four months he has been bleeding subs at a rate of ~7k a month, yet this month it's only down to 2k? Sure, he did a couple topical videos that his desired breadtuber audience would enjoy that finally cracked 200k views, but still.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting the sub numbers? I'm sure Socialblade gets them straight off the Youtube API, so it might be a more reliable way to tell than just looking at his youtube page, assuming that's not what you do already.
