I think Trevor Noah is an example of what someone like Bill Hicks in modern day would be like. At least a commercially successful one. I'm not trying to say they had the same kinds of comedy, but they both had anti-government views, and Moore had to kinda keep it under a blur of "oh this is all goofy slapstick, isn't it silly, it's not like I ACTUALLY feel this way." At least enough of one that no one makes a stink, and no entertainment executive has to be distracted from a single moment of drugs and rape to reject him.

Best way to de-normalize a lefty tactic is for the right to start using it.
