Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Stepping Down, Report Says

If I didn't have a good enough reason outside the obvious to use other platforms, I sure as fuck do now. Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.

I always knew outsourcing tech support to the shitskin dotheads would bite us hard in the long run. And that long run's destination was this.

If it follows Tumblr's trajectory, they'll ban porn off the platform in 4 years and everyone will fuck off to Instagram or something similar.
4 years is too generous now. This year alone has given me whiplash with how much has happened and how much higher-ups managed to fuck up and continue to do so. I give it until the end of winter for the porn ban to commence.

Is that slenderman in the background?

Please please please GOD let this begin the end of Twitter. I hope they ban porn and "female presenting nipples" so people leave that shithole website in droves, leaving only the politispergs that already infest that site to further rot it from the inside out.
The politispergs are all coomers though, it's trans rights activists deep in their fetish. They left Tumblr when the porn ban came in and now Tumblr's noticeably more normal for it.

Following news of Dorsey’s expected resignation, Twitter’s stock increased by more than 10%.
Lmao

Parag has been behind every critical decision that helped turn this company around.
So what they're saying is that it's going to be more of the same shit, and absolutely nothing about Twitter being a dogshit platform will change. Jack is going to stay on for another half-year, so we'll see how well things are handled in the mean time. Who knows, maybe Parag will surprise us by getting rid of the socjus jannies/content censors.

No you're going to be getting the foreigner with a grudge mentality telling america how it should be run by his memories of the old country from his childhood.

Remember these people literally drink water with shit in it and consider it a blessing.

Despite being a very different format from forums, mass migration to Discord (or a service like it) would ironically bring back some of the feeling of the pre-2010’s Internet, which was dominated by various small forums and chat rooms where people with shared interests would coalesce.

Regardless of what problems it may have, IMO Discord is still vastly preferable to the god-awful centralized social media that has dominated the last decade+.
I would love it if the death of Twitter ended up sending people back to a system of content specific, user created, gatekept hidey-holes. 🌈
