Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The mind control chip was a failure, so this time they're using a speaker that works it's way from the bloodstream into your brain so they can communicate with you as if you were hearing voices, giving you three choices of either complying with their demands, thinking everyone is crazy so they lock you up in the looney bin, or you commit seppuku

No, because the interpretation part has specific legal meaning. What you propose goes beyond that, into grafting new law onto it.

How is stating "this business is clearly and consistently making editorial decisions and is therefore not covered by this existing law for platforms" making a new law or creating new legal meaning? It's just enforcing the existing law according to the existing definitions.

Because the law -itself- is shit and doesn't adequately define things, leaving it wide open for flagrant abuse. And yet, clarifying it would require inserting additional elements not in law which would be easily slapped down by the courts.

An EO cannot add additional requirements to the law, that would require an act of congress. Nowhere in the law does it actually say making editorial decisions is not allowed. Therefore adding such a requirement via EO would not be allowed as it is adding to the law, not merely interpreting elements of it.

"The term “information content provider” means any person or entity that is responsible, in whole or in part, for the creation or development of information provided through the Internet or any other interactive computer service."

That's it, that's all you get.

He also redefined automatic weapons to include something explicitly not included in the text of the bill. So I'm not very sympathetic to executive decisions can only go so far.

I think most people can agree moderation can go to such an extreme that it would move you from a platform to a publisher. If not, the New York Times can just say they're a platform and they take down all submissions that don't conform in their sole opinion to their guidelines.

Twitter probably doesn't cross that line when it comes to the current understanding of the law. If they should be considered to have crossed the line is another question.

Besides, I feel like Trump gets off on knowing he gets to fuck actual models and porn stars, people that the rest of us actually want and can't have. So he bangs beautiful young adult women, because that's the typical "hell yeah bro" power move that buys respect, when you're an old man but still have your pick of beautiful partners.
I mean wasn't that what the actual Access Hollywood tape was about? When you're a celebrity and billionaire you can do WTF you want. Of course that got twisted into something it wasn't

He's not been doing well at all ever since 2016. Lost it all except his marriage, which was never a happy one judging by his indiscretions and if the rumors are correct, Hillary's carpet-munching. Something tells me he doesn't care since he knows he's untouchable given what a golden calf his Presidency was and is.
Tbh they're probably not a "married couple" in any meaningful sense of the word but are only together for public appearances while going about their business individually

Right, but he got lucky because between 1989 and 2001 America was basically just one big party and was the unchallenged global hegemon, economically, culturally, militarily, etc. so it's understandable why normies remember those years fondly

CHICAGO — The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Tuesday that over 1,000 homicides have been registered in the county in 2021, representing the highest total since there were 1,141 homicides in 1994.

There have been 1,009 homicides to date in 2021 in Cook County, showing an increase over 986 homicides recorded in all of 2020. Last year’s homicide totals were more than 40 percent higher than 2019’s total of 675.

The county’s record for most homicides in a year was recorded in 1991, when 1,229 homicides were handled by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The city of Chicago has registered 777 confirmed homicides in 2021, with just under 23 percent occurring in suburban Cook County.

The Cook County suburbs with the highest homicide totals this year are as follows:

  • Harvey: 30 homicides
  • Maywood: 16 homicides
  • Dolton: 11 homicides
  • Calumet City: 8 homicides
  • South Holland: 8 homicides
  • Berwyn: 7 homicides
  • Chicago Heights: 7 homicides
  • Cicero: 6 homicides
  • Markham: 6 homicides
African Americans accounted for 81 percent of the county’s homicide victims, with Latinos making up just under 15 percent of homicide deaths. 88 percent of victims were men.

The youngest person killed in Cook County in 2021 was a 1-month-old boy, with the oldest victim being an 84-year-old man.

The breakdown of victims separated by age are as follows:

  • 0-9: 12 homicides
  • 10-19: 144 homicides
  • 20-29: 389 homicides
  • 30-39: 255 homicides
  • 40-49: 111 homicides
  • 50-59: 59 homicides
  • 60-69: 29 homicides
  • 70+: 10 homicides
The Medical Examiner’s Office recorded 672 homicides in 2018 and 624 in 2019 before a meteoric rise in 2020 that has continued into 2021. More information on the county’s homicide tracking can be found here.

Oh nooooo....

Anyway:

I love how someone put it to me: So, if I avoid the shot, I have a 100% chance of avoiding side effects of the shot and 99.95% chance of avoiding CoVid? I think I like my chances.

Well, yeah, that's my point. He's stuck keeping up appearances with an alcoholic lezzie, and she's stuck keeping up appearances with an alcoholic womanizer. Neither of them are happy and they fucking deserve it and each other.

As to the second part... sure. But its less that and more that his Presidency is the current foundation of the Democrat party in terms of their neoliberal, globalist philosophies. If Bill Clinton goes down, they open themselves up to having everything they've been doing since then questioned.

As for Trump being mentioned at the trial today, I thought he said he did go there once but thought Epstein was disgusting and never went back. I can assure you if there was absolutely anything incriminating on the man, it would have long come out by now.

Thats why they hate him so much, because they have nothing to blackmail him with.

Well he certainly took the mad part of Mad Money literally!

That's probably why alot of Hollywood types were piss off at him for that

CNN is the cable news equivalent of Twitter: their purpose isn't to make money. Their purpose is to spout the CORRECT OPINION, Pravda-style, and to get fence-sitters to believe the CORRECT OPINION and/or demoralize them into thinking that only the CORRECT OPINION matters. Problem is, as with Twitter, the people who actually believe CNN are a minority. A loud and annoying minority, but a minority nonetheless.
Also, CNN has been coasting (for decades) off past glories and rose color nostalgia where they were the only 24 hour cable news network in town back in the 1980s/early 90s.
