I find it interesting that Phil puts the call out for people to make up for slow streams, because it means he's actually deluding himself into thinking that either he can guilt-trip his paypigs, who are the only ones who can make up for slow streams but are responsible for them to being with, or he has other fans popping by all of a sudden who will totally give a shit about the regulars not tipping him enough.
I don't know which one is more out of touch with reality, but I'm pretty sure that having that monkey on his back is contributing to him not thinking about the truth as often as he should. That, or him being all "if you could please tip enough on the next stream to even out the lack of tipping previously, that would be great" is the only way he can stop himself from taking the mask all the way off and ripping his paypigs a new one for not tipping enough, completely acknowledging that no one else is going to except the handful of glue-sniffing chimps he has for legit fans.

I'll always wonder what exactly it was about losing her that hurt him so much. I'm pretty sure I know, that it's because she was such a trophy for him while Kat is more like 6th place and he knows it, but we can never be certain about the WHY, just that it most certainly pains him more than anything else I've ever seen.
FFS, we shit on his mom and speculate on Kat's weight constantly here and he says nothing about either one, but any reminder of his first GF happens on camera and he becomes a complete cunt.
A common theme you’ll notice in all of these clips is that Phil seems to have no idea how to make a good comeback or even participate in banter. In the aforementioned clip not once does he EVER say anything that you hear him call us (morahn, asshole, nudnik, etc) until he leaves the game and these kids can’t hear him anymore. It seems like the best he knows how to do (or has the courage to do) is just loudly speak over them and repeat whatever they said in a dumbass voice and laugh. It shows beautifully both Phil’s lack of creativity/quick wit and his cowardice, that even when being made fun of by teenagers he’s never even seen before he can’t muster up a simple “go fuck yourself” til they have no room to respond.
It’s also worth noting that friendly banter, for instance when you’re playing a competitive game with a friend and lightheartedly trash-talking each other, usually requires you to let down your guard and surrender your ego a bit, something Phil would probably rather die than do himself.
The two are definitely related, because any time you get into it with someone, when it isn't friendly at all, you're taking the risk of losing, and Phil doesn't tolerate such situations. He plays games of chance, yes, but that's with an AI. Math. Not a person, who he KNOWS is likely to be superior to him. In his mind, he guarantees himself the W if he waits until they can't respond, because in his mind, the L is him rising to the occasion and failing miserably. Which he KNOWS he's going to.
This is probably why he gets so pissy about players wrecking him online, he knows it's coming and it feels extra humiliating for him because the only way out is through luck or taking on Derichs all the time. You notice he doesn't find THAT degrading? Being better than somebody with extra chromosomes? Says a lot about his priorities in life. Earning something is irrelevant, a hollow victory doesn't leave him feeling empty at all, because he's that starved for and entitled to them.
