Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Rumor mill has it that Omar and House Dems are working on drafting a resolution to condemn Islamophobia - as a baseline, they'll likely try to escalate even further. This is a political beef I think could become interesting, because the two people involved have personalities that sort of just lend themselves to political drama.

Omar very clearly goes off the deep end when people make jokes about her religion, plus she's in The Squad so she's got that entitlement factor. Greene on the other hand has amassed over $48,000 in fines for refusing to wear a mask and she still doesn't wear one. She is nothing if not absolutely spiteful. I could see at least one potential timeline where Greene gets caught calling Omar a nigger or something behind closed doors.
I just realized I got Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert mixed up. What can I say, they're both white women.

Eurocucks cucked again. Your second question can be easily solved with a printer for now since it is only a matter of time until that happens. Pierre the Customs Official is unlikely to spend more than a few milliseconds looking at a person’s papers as long as you are not nervous af.
I fully advocate fake vaccine cards, Lord knows I gotta get around to making one for myself, but because Europe is Europe, I wouldn't discount them from trying to implement digitized vaccine passports for both citizens and international visitors, considering with the dumb digital ID shit they're playing around with now. That's a bigger Mark of the Beast contender than the jab itself.

What depresses me is that the pushback in a lot of these places is minimal compared to the pushback in America (do correct me if I'm wrong, Euro Kiwis. I could use a good whitepill today). At least here we have a blatantly inept administration to undermine the legitimacy of increasingly desperate and draconian vaccination measures.

I know I've seen videos of some pretty sizable anti-mandate demonstrations throughout Yuroland, Italy in particular coming to mind, and I think France as well. The only problem is that the governments in question don't seem to give a rat's ass and are pushing forward regardless of public sentiment. It'd take some truly massive amounts of pushback to make them even consider that they're doing the wrong thing.

And it's situations like that that make me glad that we have the Constitution and the Bill of Rights over here, even if some politicians seem to think they're merely suggestions and not guaranteed. Our system ain't perfect, but given the choice between living here and anywhere else on the planet, I'll gladly stick it out here.

Give it up for Ilhan Omar, professional crisis actor!
Speaking of "crisis actors".......

I can hear the screeches of "GUN CONTROL NOW REEEEEEEEEEEEEE" from here.

They cheated, nuked their credibility with Republicans and the majority of Independents, failed to enact anything they needed to in order to lock the election next time, failed to resist Trump's takeover of the Republican party, and just utterly failed to hold together their coalition. And now they are stuck with it, stuck with all of it.

They could have let Trump win, continued their campaign against him, focused their resources into shoring up all the debts that were owed. It'd have resulted in a wash, absolutely no gain but no loss. Instead they attempted to have their cake and eat it too, and now they don't have the original resources, don't have their debts paid, and have a massive ton of new debts.

-Nothing- about this went as planned.
Is this predicated on them not being able to pass BBB? It's clear they'll do anything to push it through and if they can their creditors should be satisfied, or won't they be?

The Infrastructure bill was meant to be the thing to pay off their debts. The neutered version they got out does none of that.

The BBB agenda is so cut down at this point it doesn't do much either... even if it somehow passed.

Trump, always cleaning up the mistakes of his peers.

Goddamn, I miss having the best shitposter as president. Godspeed you crazy bastard.
I just realized I got Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert mixed up. What can I say, they're both white women.
Boebert might be a moron sometimes but she is younger and more attractive than MTG. I could see sexing her as long as I could put something in her mouth to keep her from ranting about politics for a good 20 seconds or so

Even if BBB does pass in its neutered form (though $2T is nothing to sneeze at), isn't that all the Dems need to assure their creditors from withdrawing support? The MSM will never shut the hell up about it passing either, which is bad morale for everyone who opposed it.

No, because their debts will still be outstanding.

"Oh, you passed this but we still haven't been paid?"

Passing a neutered BBB only staunches the bleeding, but they are still heavily damaged and it only kicks the can.

Fredo is out of CNN indefinitely. The statement from CNN attached.
That Trump curse is worse than a Pharaohs.
Legitimate question for the thread. Do you all think the above issue of not solving issues to have easy reelections would be solved by having 1 or 2 term limits in congress?
No. You just move the point of action to lobbyists. By the time people figure out how to get things done their terms would be done. And I doubt term limits will work as well as people think they will. You will just have a larger number of people rotating into the seat.

In all actuality we should work to repeal the law that artificially caps the House of Representatives at 438. There is supposed to be 11,000 members of the House and each of them would get a district. And gerrymandering 11,000 districts would be a lot harder than 438.

Protip: punishing a rival Congress member by taking away their committee assignments only works when the person in question actually cares about them. Gosar apparently got emotional after he was censured because he genuinely cared about working on his committees. Boebert doesn't have that same attachment I'm pretty sure.

She's on the Natural Resources and Budget committees if anyone's curious.

Fox says on Thursday Biden will announce the strictest lockdowns yet. You think he would get the memo after Virginia, but its time to triple down on COVID.

Are you ready for Biden to hit the 20s in approval going into the midterms?
I’m willing to bet this is hot air. Like the vaccine mandates, the Biden Admin expects compliance through decree alone. Once corporate interests start hemming and hawing, the admin will quietly push back these mandates “to a reasonable future date.” (Read: never)

They’re hoping people will scare themselves into performing self-authoritarianism.

Still, the mere mention of lockdowns will do wonders for his poll ratings. Clearly.

Nov 30 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Tuesday blocked a Biden administration COVID-19 vaccination rule for healthcare workers and applied the ruling nationwide where the mandate was still in effect, according to a court ruling.

A Louisiana U.S. district judge blocked a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers Tuesday, issuing a nationwide injunction in another setback to President Joe Biden's effort to require wide segments of the population to be vaccinated.

Louisiana Western District U.S. Judge Terry Doughty's decision follows an identical ruling Monday from Missouri U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp, but Schelp's decision only covered 10 states.

Doughty ruled on the lawsuit led by Republican Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and joined by 13 other states, but Doughty added a nationwide injunction in his ruling.

In his decision, Doughty wrote the Biden Administration doesn't have the authority to bypass Congress in issuing such a mandate.

"If the executive branch is allowed to usurp the power of the legislative branch to make laws, two of the three powers conferred by our Constitution would be in the same hands," he wrote. "If human nature and history teach anything, it is that civil liberties face grave risks when governments proclaim indefinite states of emergency.

"During a pandemic such as this one, it is even more important to safeguard the separation of powers set forth in our Constitution to avoid erosion of our liberties."

The emergency regulation issued Nov. 4 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services would have required staff at providers that participate in the programs to receive at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by Dec. 6 and be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4, 2022.

“While Joe Biden villainizes our healthcare heroes with his ‘jab or job’ edicts, I will continue to stand up to the president's bully tactics and fight for liberty,” Landry said in a statement. “While our fight is far from over, I am pleased the court granted preliminary relief against the president’s unconstitutional and immoral attack on not only our healthcare workers but also the access to healthcare services for our poor and elderly."

Earlier this month the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans blocked a broader Biden administration mandate that businesses with more than 100 workers require employees to be vaccinated by Jan. 4 or wear masks and be tested weekly. Landry was also the lead in that lawsuit.

Any appeals of Doughty's Tuesday decision would also go to the 5th Circuit.

Doughty, who was nominated to the federal bench by former President Donald Trump in 2017 and confirmed in 2018, acknowledged the case "will ultimately be decided by a higher court than this one."

"However, it is important to preserve the status quo in this case," he wrote. "The liberty interests of the unvaccinated requires nothing less."

The states that joined Louisiana in the lawsuit include Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah and West Virginia.

Louisiana's Western District Court includes a large geographic swath of the state with offices in Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Monroe and Shreveport.
