Prison Letters Chris and Kengle Prison Letter Megathread

But seriously what the fuck, if the dude in question is literally a registered sex offender, where is the fucking issue? If you're even in a community where that's an issue, get the fuck out, or you are a fucking pedo yourself.
Such is the problem when society is trying to ham-handedly embrace inclusivity across the board. The idea that there are some people who simply shouldn't be allowed for any number of good, valid reasons supposedly sets a precedent and somebody is going to be offended.

But seriously what the fuck, if the dude in question is literally a registered sex offender, where is the fucking issue? If you're even in a community where that's an issue, get the fuck out, or you are a fucking pedo yourself.
Didn't have to deal with that specific problem personally. But this shitshow did happen:

Big Event is happening. I am part of org team. Big Event requires participants to remain in specific hotel accommodation for Event Period. At the last Big Event, several credible accounts of serious sexual assault were made against a participant, Night Stalker. All assaults took place in the required accommodation. The org team at the time (of which I was not part) decided to deal with this by assuring the complainers that the participant would not attend any more Big Events, and on that basis they agreed to not report to police.

Big fucking mistake.

Registration for Big Event begins, and Night Stalker registers. I advise rest of org team that he's been refused reg and refunded in accordance with previous org team undertaking. Current org team explodes. "Nothing was proved". Yes, but undertaking was given, in return for which complainers agreed not to go to police, sue org or otherwise put Big Event permanently out of commission. "Nothing was proved. Night Stalker cannot be prevented from attending".

The news about Night Stalker trying to attend, and the minutes of the meeting where half the org team go in to bat for him reach the community mailing lists. Community explodes. Various truly amazing suggestions are made, such as "Night Stalker may attend but must be accommodated in a separate hotel" (translation: we fully believe he did what he was accused of, but this allows us to both believe it but not bar him from attending. Ostracisers are evil!!)

Half the org team, including me, privately agree that we will resign if Night Stalker is allowed to register in violation of previous undertaking, but either way we will abide by result of org team vote. Night Stalker is allowed back into Big Event by margin of one vote. Those of us who agreed we would resign do so, months before Big Event, leaving it in chaos. High profile community members refuse to attend Big Event if Night Stalker is there or collaborate with him.

Big Event goes ahead under reduced circumstances. Recriminations over Night Stalker incident continue to this very year of Our Lord. After both the Big Event in question and a further Big Event, more reports are made of Night Stalker's assaulting other participants. Finally Night Stalker is banned from attending but only after he states he will of choice no longer attend.

On the other hand, the guy who reportedly dropped the N word at Big Event was escorted off the premises the same day and barred for life.

I'm not sure whether to admire your optimism in assuming Chris is both capable of understanding such classics of literature and capable of taking their underlying concepts on board, or mock it mercilessly, considering Chris's idea of a deep and gripping narrative is season 4 of his cursed fucking pony show.
That said, the idea of Chris embracing "The Count of Monte Cristo" and emerging from a decade long prison sentence to embark on a mission of vengeance against Bella Janke and "Judas" Moon would certainly be a strange twist to a story that seems to defy the idea that there is any logic or sense in this universe.
The c(o)unt needs to find a secret hoard of riches though. but maybe chris would pick up on the idea of forging a new identity to return to charlottesville, like jenkins, but this time sophisticated(chris's version of sophisticated). also needs a sidekick.

it is fodder for a power fantasy of sorts though, only it's using wits, money and cunning to achieve the ends instead of OP magic.

chris would have needed to read that stuff when chris was young instead of really crappy comics and pokemon, but it's pretty much too late for that now. I don't think chris would read that stuff now even if given a chance. even anything from verne would have been a real improvement - maybe chris would've moved into a cave or something.

or lady of camelias from another dumas. could've picked up on that getting that sexy pussy ain't all fun and games always.

With regards to Verne, I've read a number of his works in the original French. When I consider the thousands of books that I've read in multiple languages, my postgraduate degree, and all the art/writing I could have created if I had been able to spend my life getting free money from the government as Chris did. Instead, I've been forced to work at jobs I hated since I was 18, and I only had a small amount of time to devote to my art and my writing. Instead, Chris was given that time to create his horrible abominations and rape his mother.

This world truly is hell.

If it's any consolation to you because you value your free time the works of art you enjoy and produce are more significant because you can only really do them in your free time, When the art you enjoy and the art you produce are the only things you do it loses it's significance fast.

Chris does not want vengeance against Bella. He still thinks of Bella as a friend. It is *very* hard for Chris to think negatively of a remotely-attractive woman -- generally they can do no wrong other than casting him aside. For instance one of the few times Chris has made a woman into a villain was Megan, but that was only after years of her refusing to speak to him. Bella's voice is still fresh in Chris' mind and she never cut off contact with him, therefore Bella is still innocent and anything bad said about her is just a misunderstanding. Moreover, the person who said the worst things about her to Chris was none other than Judas himself, the betrayer Null.

You bring up a good point, I'd be interested in knowing what Chris's reading ability is now I know he can read a menu or a web article etc but I wonder just what his level of reading comprehension is.

He's exposed to a lot of childish media and when he does read it's short blurby facts, and seems to quickly reach a point where he struggles, I am guessing if it's anything more complex than something VERY clearly factual (think assembly instructions for something) and alegory, subtext etc all seem to bypass him it would be nice to see a report into his reading abillity but I doubt we will ever see one.

Chris is dumb but his reading comprehension is okay. He doesn't understand the correct definitions of many words but he will read them anyway and then use them in his own writing with his own faulty understanding of what the word means. Given the sorry state of American education, he's probably better than average in what he's capable of reading.

The reason Chris does not read long works often is because if anything else accessible to him is more "fun" it will immediately make him shift his attention. He cannot *commit* to anything, even something he likes, if some other stimulus overrides his attention. If he feels a bit bored with something, he will switch to something else. e.g. Chris is enjoying long book but then page 57 has something that slightly bores him or makes him uncomfortable and he'll put it down. Chris makes it to page 65 a bit later but then something on facebook gets his attention because the girl posting has a cute avatar.

Lock him in a room with nothing holding his attention other than the bible and he's probably gonna read through it a bunch, except parts that say something that he doesn't like.

You see, if a precedent is set that someone is too much a perv/autistic/unwashed to attend big events, then many of the people whining that ostracism is evil know that their heads will be on a chopping block for too long.

This is pretty much it. I saw someone explain once that they were worried about loli art being excluded, despite them not being interested in loli, because "the pedos are the canary in the coal mine". Basically, as long as something more controversial than yourself is kept safe, then you are also safe by virtue of your own oddities being less controversial. It's an application of the "First, they came for the Jews" principle.

In my city there was a famous case a few years ago where the sheriff was smuggling drugs so he went to prison. Well in prison he somehow got a hold of herbal supplements (the type you'll buy at any health food store) and they considered those drugs so he got in trouble for it.
In my hometown there was a Haitian immigrant who bought a small apartment building. It had six apartments on two floors. So he lived in the lower middle one and rented out the other five apartments to tenants.

The guy above him failed to pay the rent and was issued an eviction notice.
Soon, black, foul smelling liquid dripped down the landlord's walls, as well as the walls of the other first floor tenants. Everyone complained of the awful smell.

Police found that the tenant was storing his shit in glass bottles, likely to brew jenkem. When he got the eviction notice he smashed the bottles out of anger. The apartment building had to be evacuated and alternate housing found for the residents. It was soon demolished.

As the title suggests, there are two letter correspondences between Chris and long-time orbiter Kenneth Englehardt that I am surprised no one else has posted here.
2nd letter highlights:
Kengle tried and failed to mail Chris a copy of the Quran, fortunately the prison commissary does sell them.
Kengle has written to Chris something about the pardon issue, Chris basically tells him to try harder.
Chris talks about prison ramen, like the other letters mentioned

3rd letter highlight:
Chris begs Onion Farms to donate by mailing money and send food (especially nanners and pet food) in-person.
Chris also wishes people to visit Barb and sets standards to how it should be done
Chris has additional clothing and a radio from the commissary
Like Stories From the Penitentiary, Chris sends Kengle a blessing drawn on a soda label, this time Coca-Cola.

A blessing drawn on a soda label. Now that's outsider pop art. Treasure it, you clown.
This is the second time Chris has made one of these to my knowledge, previously it was grape Fanta. While he did not give explicit permission for the latest one, the grape Fanta label could be photocopied up to five times and attached to 20oz bottles to make blessed non-alcoholic beverages.
